We need the hotel downtown, there is a serious lack of NICE lodging in the area. The problem being what's a person to do downtown? We lack the shopping and multifaceted entertainment that would draw people downtown and keep them down there. We need to encourage businesses to return to the downtown area. Bookstores, clothing stores, novelty stores, art, specialty food stores, grocery stores, and the like. The cities that have vibrant downtown's can support the hotels and visa versa. Parking is beginning to be addressed, the clean up and down town rehab is beginning but we need a lot more.
