I am a journalist. I am an editor by heart and a teacher by nature. Photography is a medium in which a story can be told in a single power image, or through a series can take viewers through a visual journey. If used right, photojournalism can tell a greater story than most other medium. But when used improperly, that message is lost in favor of the bells and whistles - like with HDR. I'm old fashioned.

Re: “Have You Tried Joel's Bistro?

Joel's Bistro has some awesome omelets. It's a personal favorite there on University, in Geronimo's Plaza. Their breakfast stuff is awesome.

Re: “Union Public House: OK Food in Stylish Atmosphere

Edie, I do realize that it is under the "small plates" category. HOWEVER, they might as well have added the pork belly into the appetizers category because it was nothing but a glorified appetizer. And I agree, Adam, it does take a while to perfect things. Today was the third day the place was opened. I didn't even mention how they didn't have hot tea, took a little long to get the food out, etc. As I said, it was an okay experience, but could be much improved.
