Obviously there are too many psychs already in Tucson. Psych "diagnoses" are written to imply the unscientific, and elusive nature of the "mental health" concept. The DSM purposely connives hopelessness, misunderstanding, and disrespect. Data show that huge amounts of people kill themselves, after "psych talk" of future psych care, and after "psych treatments" begin. People already vulnerable react severly to stigma. The evidence is clear self-serving psych lingo, causes internal feelings of stigma, humiliation, and shame; therefore, anyone can see that these personal feelings of inadequacy have a direct link to future suicide.

The DSM ("Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Illnesses"), is often called the "psych's bible" because it is based upon unproven dogma, but not upon science. It is not based upon scientific methodology, nor scientific principles. Medicine, and science require mathematics, and quantifiability. The DSM cannot be quantified. All competent scientifc conclusions must be shared, and be subject to professional scrutiny; whereas, any psych data, is carefully controlled, due to "patient privacy" issues. We are told because of the stigma involved. (Are you beginning to get the picture here???) Psych conclusions cannot be measured, nor quantified, and are medically illogical. (www.adhdfraud.com). Indeed the DSM is voted upon at psych conventions. (www.breggin.com) An example is homosexuality which was once considered a "mental illness" on the DSM; however, after gays became politically powerful "homosexuality" was quickly dropped, and voted out. Please consider exploring the following sources: "The Myth of Mental Illness" by famous psychiatrist Thomas Szasz, M.D. and visit www.antipsychiatry.org and visit www.breggin.com I will politely defend the above information, and more at any reasonable time, and within any forum. Thank you.

Psychologists tend to be arrogant, and indeed incompetent. Psychologists want the financial bonanza, from "treating" our brave returning veterans, without any resultant responsibilities. First of all psychologists should always be carefully supervised by nurses, and physicians. Psychologists are considered substandard healthcare professionals, who should never be "sent out in the field" to "diagnose anyone. They are narrowly trained in an unaccountable, unreliable, non-medical field, and they are incapable of evaluating conditions that can cause psych-like symptoms. Conditions such as dietary, gastrointestinal, allergy or insomnia difficulties. These among others are more economically, and reliabliable treated with no stigma, and shame attached. Too often when a psych "diagnoses" is formulated all medical scrutiny ends. Physicians from all specialties should be available, to challenge any psych "diagnoses" whatsoever.

Psychs like to blame everyone else for stigma, but the facts are they invented it, and have profited from it. No one would willingly accept being a "mental patient", even if they needed "treatment". Who would???

Stigma and shame is generated from psych labels. No one wants to be a "mental patient". Who would? Psychs want stigma because it justifies their field, which has no standing whatsoever, in science or medicine. "Mental health" is unaccountable, and unreliable and is documented to cause underproductivity, marrital problems, etc. for a lifetime. GET PSYCHS OFF OUR BASES. The best help for veterans is other veterans, not psychologists who are not doctors, but frauds. Please commanders let's get some common sense here.
