When Bikes, Art and Tweed Collide

There are two goals for the upcoming VelociPrint Show: Get more people excited about bikes and get more people excited about Tucson art as different artists were invited to create a print that celebrates the joy of being on a bicycle. This is the third "bike art" show, so in addition to the nine new prints this year, the most popular prints from past shows return with many as low as $20, but none higher than $50. The one-night only show is Saturday, Nov. 15, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Transit Cycles in Mercado San Agustin, 100 S. Avenida Del Convento. A portion of the proceeds go to the Living Streets Alliance and as part of the festivities, BikeFest Tucson is hosting "Tweedvember," a costumed fun leisurely ride to the show that begins at Old Main at 5 p.m.; and yes, wear tweed.
