It's writer, junkie and agitator William S. Burroughs' 100th birthday, and there's absolutely no reason to celebrate playing a William Tell game in his honor when you can head over to Exploded View Gallery, 197 Toole Ave., on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. with local musician and UA Professor John Melillo (Algae & Tentacles) with input from Exploded View associate curator Carl Hanni. Extensive film and video footage covering more than 50 year of Burroughs' work will be screened; spoken word and cut up recordings will be played; and books will be displayed. $5 cover. For more info on this and other offerings this season, check out
