Here are the most significant things worth noting about KIIM. They've been doing the country music thing a long time and they (generally) have local people talking between songs. Yes, the new-ish Clear Channel take on country music might have a slightly more contemporary feel, but Wild's morning show sidekick Lunchbox is still broadcasting from Nashville to a bunch of stations across the country, while KIIM's weird-name equivalent Porkchop is in Tucson with Max and Shannon, talking more or less about local goings-on. These things do still matter when you're waiting around for your favorite George Strait track.
