If there is any differentiation between the Tucson Tea Party and the Pima County Republic Party fiestas here at the Doubletree Hotel on Alvernon tonight, perhaps it is the crowd.

From 4 to 7 p.m. the Tea Party partied at the Grand Ballroom; now the Republican fiesta has started.

In between 104.1 FM's John Justice spoke in between: "It's not just what they are going to be doing inside of Congress; they are taking it over and taking it back. ... The Democrats got the power and declared conservatism dead. ... The Tea Party has us pointed in the right direction."

The got some cheers, and the laughs went to Justice when he pointed out that Tucson City Manager Mike Letcher wears Che Guevera T-shirts when he goes out drinking (ya gotta love how that's suppose to mean evil, nasty socialists in these parts ... although Letcher has never struck me as a Che kinda guy).

Pima County Republican Party Chairman Bob Westerman opened the show formally, getting the biggest cheers so far when he mentioned retiring Giffords and Grijalva.

He put it best for all of us tonight:

"Settle in, watch the results and let's get rowdy."
