Bubbling house-made mozzarella and a crispy wood-fired crust are central to Vero Amore's pizzas, and this small, classy pizza joint is making pizza night an upscale outing. Started in 2006 by two brothers, Vero Amore is one of only 250 restaurants in the world certified by the Verace Pizza Napoletana academy. With a sleek, modern ambiance, a reasonably priced wine list, a nice selection of bottled beers and friendly service, Vero Amore serves thin-crust pizzas that are crisped to perfection in an 800-degree wood-fire oven. The result is little slices of heaven—and a way to eat pizza without having to listen to video games or screaming kids.
