"Keeping the margins in the center since 1993," Kore Press is turning 25! What better way to celebrate 25 years of empowering women, art and justice than with an illuminated garden party in one of Tucson's most iconic historical venues, The Franklin House, on November 11th.

In case you didn't know, Kore Press is pretty hard KORE in the feminist and social justice sector. The Press was named after the Queen of the Underworld, (Persephone a.k.a Koré) and has spent 25 years of non-profit publishing on "behalf of women and marginalized voices, literature, and justice."

Kore Press' new book Letters to the Future: Black Women/Radical Writing will be launched at Tucson Museum of Art Nov. 11 and 12, accompanied by a micro-exhibition of visual, textual and audio materials from the book.
"Kore Press founder and publisher, Lisa Bowden, was named the 2018 Alumni of the Year by the University of Arizona English Department. Kore Press is one of four remaining feminist presses in the country dedicated to women (and trans) contemporary literature to have lasted 25 years, and the only one educating youth and doing community social justice work." - Kore Press

Tickets for general admission to the "Community Radicalists"event cost $50 and include drinks and dinner, a "gorgeous fresh, local" buffet provided by Gallery of Food and Cafe Botanica. There will also be opportunities to participate in a silent auction, a car raffle, live performances and art, of course. Lot's and lot's of art.

For $50 more, VIP tickets include access to the special preview reception an hour earlier than the event begins.
