The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block, fresh from a gorgeous makeover, has had a spectacular year, with another Arizona Biennial, a retrospective of work by the late James G. Davis, a sumptuous collection of photography by Arthur Lazar and ongoing shows celebrating everything from Latin folk art to pieces from the museum's collection of Western art. The museum also offers classes for kids and adults; a terrific café for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and at Christmas time, the best nativity display in town. It's a community treasure that's well worth repeated visits, so get yourself a membership and soak up some culture.
