When it's time to seek out a way to entertain the kids during the triple-digit temps, head over the air-conditioned environs of the Tucson Children's Museum. The museum has plenty of ways for the kids to play, from climbing on a police motorcycle to filling up small shopping carts to studying to shooting foam balls across the room. There are plenty of fun craft and exercise activities, and it's a terrific spot for a birthday party. If you're in the neighborhood, the smaller Oro Valley branch is designed for the under-5 set.
