Terra Cotta Closing Jan. 31

Terra Cotta, which opened in 1986, will serve its last meal on Saturday, Jan. 31, according to co-owner Michael Luria. "The economy has taken its toll on us, and as much as we'd like to, we just can't continue on," Luria said. Located at 3500 E. Sunrise Drive and employing about 60 people, Terra Cotta has received scores of awards during its 22 years--including the prestigious James Beard Award. It will be sorely missed; 577-8100.

So Long, 58 Degrees

58 Degrees and Holding Co. and its bar and bistro at 5340 E. Broadway Blvd. are closing and will only accept dinner reservations through Saturday, Jan. 24, said general manager Nicole Flowers. A going-out-of-business sale--of one of the largest fine-wine collections in town--takes place Monday, Jan. 19, through Saturday, Jan. 24. Imported white wines and champagnes will be marked down 50 percent on Friday, Jan. 16; Australian reds, large-format bottles and dessert wines will be half-price on Saturday, Jan. 17; 747-5858.

When Culinary Worlds Collide

If you've never eaten churros with chopsticks, the Second Annual Multi-Cultural Mixer may offer your big chance. Sunflower Farmers Market Opening

A grand-opening celebration for Tucson's third Sunflower Farmers Market, at 4282 N. First Ave., takes place at 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21. Complimentary breakfast items will be given out, and the first 200 customers get a reusable shopping bag stuffed with groceries.
