Brunch Competition

The last event of the four-day Tucson Culinary Festival should not be missed. Why? Three reasons: 1) The Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation is the beneficiary. 2) Celebrity chef Norman Van Aken, often called father of New World cuisine, and chef Mark Ehrler, from Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, will prepare a brunch fusing the flavors of the Caribbean and the Southwest. Both chefs have won James Beard Awards. 3) During brunch, Jonathan Landeen (Jonathan's Tucson Cork) and Jim Murphy (Kingfisher) will face off in the third annual Copper Chef Challenge. It all happens on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. The cost is $75. Buy tickets online.
