Grape Expectations

Kief-Joshua Vineyards, southeast Arizona's newest winery and tasting room, announces a grand opening Oct. 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 370 Elgin Road in Elgin, off Route 83. The 20-acre vineyard releases include sauvignon blanc, viognier, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc. Meet the wine makers, Kief Manning and Rebecca Wadsley. What Primavera Cooked

Primavera Foundation's summer fundraiser paired with 10 Tucson Originals restaurants by mixing up 580 diners with 40 apprentice chefs, 25 volunteers and 10 underwriters to cook up $140,000 in funds. Congratulations!

In June, Caffé Luce opened at 943 E. University Blvd. serving coffee and pastries. Hours vary, so call 207-5504. During the school year and with live music on Friday and Saturday, it will stay open longer.

In September, a reader shared her good experience at the new Café 940 now in the short-lived Bakerzin space at 940 E. Bottomless Glass of Champagne
