What was the first concert you ever saw?
That would be Hall and Oates at the TCC Arena in '82, I think.
What CDs are in your changer right now?
I'm pretty into the iPod now. If I pick up a CD these days, it's to load it into my computer. What's come up on shuffle recently today has been Royal Fingerbowl, The Hives and Temple of the Dog.
How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
I think it's about 300 CDs, one box of maybe 50 LPs and maybe 50 7-inch singles.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
I've bought 10 or 12 albums by downloading them. So far, it has just been legally, because I don't know where to find the illegal stuff.
What was the first album you owned?
My mom gave me my allowance one day, and I bought Kiss' Double Platinum on 8-track.
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Hopefully, it'll be something that hasn't been written yet.
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
My favorite artist that I don't let a lot of people know about is the Electric Light Orchestra.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
I think it was probably The Cramps. Bad Music for Bad People was the first non-mainstream album I bought, and I pretty much bought it for the cover. But that kind of opened my ears up to all the possibilities in music.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
I'm probably gonna go with Sgt. Pepper's (Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles). I went with the one I could take with me on a desert island, and that would be a pretty easy one to listen to over and over for the rest of my life.
