A witness claimed the brothers of a woman who had broken up with her boyfriend dumped the ex-boyfriend's belongings in the former couple's front yard while he was at work, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
According to the report, the former couple was living together until the end of December, when the woman's 30-year-old ex-boyfriend was planning to move out.
The ex-boyfriend told deputies he left for work at about 5 p.m. He said he returned at 3:30 a.m. to find his mattress, a box spring, cookware, a metal bed frame and his clothes in the front yard.
Deputies spoke to a baby sitter who lived at the house. She said the brothers arrived shortly after their sister and her ex had gone to work, and began tossing things in the front yard. The brothers reportedly told her to keep quiet while they finished moving his things.
The girlfriend told authorities she had not asked her brothers to do what they allegedly did. She said she had gotten into a "verbal argument" with them over the incident.
The ex-boyfriend said he didn't want to press charges against the brothers. He loaded some items into his truck and drove away, the report stated.
Bowling For Christmas Trees
Overton Road and La Cholla Boulevard, Dec. 15, 6:14 p.m.
Freewheeling teenagers riding in a Jeep allegedly struck a trash can, which in turn demolished a Christmas-tree decoration in a woman's front yard, a PCSD report said.
The woman told deputies she discovered that her trash can was about 50 feet from its original location on Dec. 15. She also saw that her metal-coil Christmas-tree decoration had been severely bent.
The woman's neighbors reportedly told her that they saw a red and tan Jeep with four teenagers in it speeding down their street at around midnight on the same day. According to the report, the Jeep allegedly hit a trash can, which slammed into the Christmas tree.
The witnesses were unable to get the Jeep's license plate number. There was no further information at the time of the report.
Contaminated Car
Ajo Way and Irvington Road, Dec. 12, 8:08 a.m.
Authorities recovered a stolen vehicle that had been so thoroughly dirtied, they were unable to dust it for prints, a PCSD report stated.
The 1999 Chevrolet Blazer was located in a desert area. All its windows were broken and what appeared to be motor oil had been poured on its interior and exterior.
The car's center console, radio and passenger seat were also missing, and a sugar-like substance was poured in the gas tank and on the engine.
Deputies notified the Blazer's owner about the damage to her vehicle before it was towed.
