According to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report, a man watching an assault had a piece of advice for the alleged assailant: Sock the victim in the kisser to prevent him from squealing.
The victim said a man made a derogatory comment to him as he was riding by on his bicycle, causing him to stop and ask what he needed.
The man allegedly started yelling about some bricks the bicyclist put in front of his own house.
In response, the bicyclist reportedly told the man to call county officials if he had a problem with the bricks. He alleged the man then punched him in the side of the head, knocking him back 5 feet.
A man sitting in a pickup truck nearby reportedly screamed, "Hit him in the mouth so he can't talk!"
The bicyclist returned home and phoned authorities. There were no arrests or suspects at the time of the report.
Tire Tantrum
Ina Road and La Cholla Boulevard, Oct. 10, 1:49 p.m.
Witnesses at a car shop said a man became belligerent when he was told a tire he wanted to buy was too big for his vehicle, a PCSD report said.
An employee at the Wal-Mart Automotive Center, 7635 N. La Cholla Blvd., said the man yelled and swore at her, slammed a door against a wall several times and threw a tire at her that struck her foot. Multiple witnesses corroborated her story.
A deputy took a copy of a videotape reportedly showing the man throwing the tire. Witnesses also provided a description of the man and his car.
Lost In Space
UA Area, Oct. 23, 7:36 a.m.
An officer interviewed a suspicious-looking man who was staring at a wall, a University of Arizona Police Department report stated.
The report said the 19-year-old man, who was near the Hopi Residence Hall, 1440 E. Fourth St., was "very disoriented and could barely stand."
The officer noted his eyes were bloodshot and watery, and his pupils were "extremely small."
The man said he and some friends had gone to Mexico the night before, where he had taken four Soma pills he purchased from a pharmacist there. Soma is the brand name of a muscle relaxant.
The man's motor skills reportedly improved as the officer spoke to him.
The officer advised the man of the "dangers of ingesting unknown medicines (or) drugs" before escorting him to his dorm room.
