Best Salsa

La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill

Even if you're a wimp about spicy foods (yo, what are you doing living in Tucson!?), you've got to appreciate the salsa here. The signage at the help-yourself bar warns about fire levels--there's much to keep your face wet with tears. But it's not just heat. There's plenty of flavor--from the cilantro in the pico de gallo to the garlic in the avocado salsa. The sweet mango salsa is deceptively tangy; the tomatillo salsa makes your tongue curl. Imagine the boys from Some Like It Hot bumbling into the joint--Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, trying to keep their cool, dragging around in 1950s ladies wear, trying not to weep tears of joy and pain while sampling the hot stuff. Now that's something to cry about.
