Fire at Café Terra Cotta

An electrical fire occurred during the middle of the night on July 4, forcing the restaurant to close for repairs--a process estimated to take several months.


Charlie's

Locals Garrett and Jody Raetzman, who also own the Frog & Firkin, have recently opened Charlie's at 3412 N. Dodge Blvd. Named after their 2-year-old son, the Western-motif sports bar boasts 10 televisions. Charlie's serves pizza, salads, sandwiches and steak. Stuffed steaks are fast becoming a specialty; try the mustang with spinach, chorizo, feta cheese and garlic. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; 795-8646.


Buffalo Wild Wings

Wings, beer and sports are the mantra for the eastside's newest hot spot, located next to Target at 68 N. Harrison Road. Buffalo Wild Wings features 12 signature sauces, Buffalo Chips® and Buffalito® along with seven big-screen televisions and 39 32-inch televisions for full-on sports viewing. Tucson marks the 262nd location of a franchise that originally started in Minneapolis. The restaurant will begin service on July 11 and is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; 296-8409.


Coming Soon

Ichiban Japanese Restaurant, 64 N. Harrison Road, will provide table service for Japanese and sushi favorites. Ichiban opens in September.


58 Degrees and Holding

Debuting late September or early October, 58 Degrees intends to bring a new concept to Tucson wine enthusiasts. Locally owned and slated for the Williams Centre (Broadway Boulevard and Craycroft Road), 58 Degrees will be a wine store with tastings and classes, a wine bar and private wine storage for members.
