With the completion of almost a dozen small bridges crossing washes and tributaries, this mini-highway surpassed the Santa Cruz River Park trail as the "best" a few years back. Sharing the road with joggers and Rollerbladers, bikers have access to drinking fountains, restrooms, benches in shaded areas and even picnic tables and grills on the freshly paved bike path stretching from Craycroft Road to Interstate 10. For an increasingly hellacious trip, mountain bikers can continue west under the freeway and find more unmapped trails all the way to Silverbell and Ina roads. And the myriad of life you see--though some splotched on the pavement--will make bike-riding lovers of the desert's nuances think this is the best show on Earth.
