A Sakura restaurant employee swung a meat cleaver at another employee and later chased him around the restaurant parking lot with a pole while threatening to kill him, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
A witness told Deputy Mark O' Dell the fight started when one of the employees threw a plate of food at the other employee. Later that night, the employee reportedly picked up a knife and swung it at his coworker near the kitchen area of the restaurant, 6091 N. Oracle Road.
One of the men involved in the fight told Deputy O' Dell that he was outside sweeping when the other employee picked up a pole and chased him. The man who was being chased said that he threw a rock at his co-worker in self-defense.
The rock hit the employee in the back.
The employee who was being chased said he didn't want to press charges, so Deputy O' Dell didn't arrest the other man.
Stolen Breast Pump
North La Cholla Boulevard and West Ina Road, Aug. 24, 4:05 p.m.
According to a PCSD report, somebody stole a $219 breast pump that a Tucson couple left at a restaurant.
They told deputies that they accidentally left the Whisper Wear breast pump at a restaurant. They spoke to the manager of the restaurant 45 minutes later, and he said the pump was gone.
One Smooth Pickup Line
University Area, Sept. 1, 1:53 a.m.
A shirtless Tucson man was arrested for loitering after police allegedly heard him ask a male and female student for oral sex, a University of Arizona Police Department report stated.
According to police, James A. Newby, 43, said, "You don't want to suck my dick? Why not?"
When the students heard these comments, they walked away from the man and into a nearby residence hall.
While speaking with officers, Newby became irate and yelled profanities at people walking by, the report stated. He would not answer the officers' questions when they asked about the obscene comments he allegedly made to the students. Officers believe Newby, of a general delivery address, may have been drunk.
When officers ran a background check on him, they learned he had a warrant issued for his arrest. Newby was arrested for the warrant and on suspicion of loitering. On the way to jail, officers warned him not to return to the residence hall.
Newby said he would go back to the residence hall the following day.
