Re: “Catalina Foothills High School Auditorium

Eric Holtan--a former music teacher convicted of molesting teenage students. Eric Holtan is the founder and conductor of True Concord. He served time in prison for his crimes and your support is an affront to the victims of sexual abuse.

Here is an article from 1999 regarding his crimes:

According to the criminal complaint filed..., Holtan admitted having consensual affairs with the two students from 1994 until 1998. The complaint said he told police he used "poor judgment" in getting involved with the girls. But he said he believed they were 16 at the time. That additional year in their ages is the difference between first-degree and third-degree sexual conduct.

According to a Tucson Citizen story, Holtan had sexual contact up to 50 times with these two female students (based on complaint filed).
If you doubt the validity of this information here is a direct link to his record (this is available online):

Re: “Tucson New Horizons Band Information Meeting - Over 50? Come play with us!

I was an envious band parent when my son played during his school years. When I joined the Tucson New Horizons Band last fall I was a real novice & the lousiest trombone player (of 3), but learned a lot & never regretted finding out about the band. If you're a young age 50 or an older age 100 come join & you'll realize that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

Re: “Identity Crisis

This play by local playwright Gavin Kayner is both intriguing and entertaining. 95 minutes, with no intermission, and will keep you glued to your seat. The story is quite interesting. What about our past or present makes us look for a different identity? How do we recreate ourselves in order to feel significant? How do we recreate ourselves in order to hide from reality? Will searching for our true identity bring peace or chaos? The acting is superb! Don't miss this one!

Re: “Ironwood Gallery

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum's Ironwood Gallery is transformed for each unique exhibit and has sometimes included line plants and animals to further the conservation message of the exhibit. A definite must-see!

Re: “Chef Alisah’s

Alisahs and Cafe Poca Cosa ,I believe, are the two best restaurants in Tucson. Great ,savory comfort food, Bosnian style. Everything is delicious. Business went crazy after Guy Fieri visited the place.
It's tucked in a corner of a small business strip south of Rudasill on Oracle. Ahmet, the owner, is a workaholic as is his wife. Hard work pays off. I've been doing restaurants in Tucson since 1962.
Many good places have gone by the wayside I am sorry to say. One of the toughest businesses to stay in. We have been going since they opened 10 years ago. When we lived on the north side we went twice a week and left large tips just so they wouldn't close. Lots of regular customers. Do not pass this one up!
