Re: “McSally Silent on Roy Moore Accusations

Actually, the Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision explicitly says that if it could be proven that life begins at conception oh, then the right to abortion on demand would collapse, because the child would have a right to life. We knew in 1973 and we know now when life begins according to biology: life clearly begins at conception with a new set of chromosomes donated by both the father and mother. why do you choose not to believe this and to accept the implications of it. Currently abortion on demand shows that abortion is not rare, and the recent deaths at abortion clinics prove it is not safe for the mother. it is by definition not safe for The Unborn Child.

people are not animals. If you cannot care for a child or don't watch children then you shouldn't have unprotected sex. many women who have been raped have chosen to keep their children. there are men and women who are willing to adopt children who are unwanted by their biological parents. there is no reason for most abortions other than selfishness. If you have a health issue you can still get an abortion even if we don't have abortion on demand in all cases. the reasons that are held up to say that abortion is necessary on demand without exception are no longer valid if they ever were.

this is not just a religious issue, it should be a moral View and a legal for anyone who claims to care about women or men. Justice they were wrong in the Civil War when saying that black people weren't people they were property, the Supreme Court is wrong in its 1973 Roe versus decision. don't need Planned Parenthood unlimited abortion on demand for women to have Healthcare provided to them. There are plenty of others agencies that can use that money to expand their services to women without funding abortion. why are you not in favor of that?

Re: “Tucson Salvage

Always look forward to Tucson Salvage and this is one of my very favorites. How much better would the world be if we set aside our own narrative and just listened - to the wind, to the traffic, to each other. Thank you, Brian, for reminding us all of the beauty and wisdom that awaits when we close our mouths and open our ears.

Re: “Tucson Salvage

Thank you so much for sharing. My daughter and I have wondered about his life story and his well being. We are all in such a routine in our lives that when we see someone just standing still, watching time pass by, we are either curios or suspicious. Some of us are sincerely concerned. God Bless Arthur! A simple man just listening and watching as the rest of us rush and chase the all mighty dollar and what we perceive to be the dream. Im sure he could teach us all things from his years of watching us! Who is really watching whom?
Im sure many have asked... how can we help? Food? Clothes? Blankets? Mattresses? Anything. He appears to be a humble man but the cold takes a beating on the body. Please let us know if we can help him and his roommates?
Hope to hear a response,
Sincerely, Starr

Re: “Tucson Salvage

Thank you for this heartfelt article. I used to live in the neighborhood and see Arthur everyday. I worried when he would stand for hours in the hot sun and wondered if he had sunscreen for his bald head. Drove by and gave him some one day and wondered if he used it. The only times I felt sorry for Arthur is when I saw him standing in the rain. It's nice to hear he is being well taken care of. Thank you Brian for curing our curiosity.

Wonderful to know more about this gentleman. My husband and I see him daily and when I don't see him out there I worry. I'm also very happy to finally know his name. Always wondering if he's ok and now I know he's simply enjoying life in his own way. Thank you!

Re: “Tucson Salvage

I've seen this fellow standing, looking at traffic on Swan many times. I've been tempted to stop and talk to him. I'm glad you did.

Re: “Tucson Salvage

Thank you for this story! Arthur is a part of our daily commute. I am so glad to know he is taken care of. We often see him with a snack while watching traffic like many watch tv in the afternoon, now I know we are his curiosity as much as he is ours.

Re: “The Skinny

Actually, retrorv, I took it from Huckelberry's memo, not Supervisor Miller's website. It seems they agree on the amount, just not what was done with it. Check it for yourself on the Pima County website.

If the Board of Supervisors is the County Administrator's employer, and it is, how does the employee get to trash one of his employers with such impunity? I was a union rep for 21 years and could never have won such a clear-cut case of gross insubordination. Even with the active help of Mr. Nintzel.

Re: “The Skinny

Clinton and Sanders campaigns both took advantage of young women. Some believe they attract them because they believe they are young and ignorant. Which one of us will say "enough?" They are destroying our government with their criminality. Get out!…

Re: “Tucson Salvage

For years, since his time in the Golf Links Pantano area, I too, wondered what Mr. Conlee's story might be. I thought he might be an old friend from high school and wanted so much to know , so thank you. I do worry about him when he's out in 110 degree heat wearing a sweater but he seems to be living his life just the way he wants to.
