Re: “The Skinny

I see that you have a thing for crusty beards honey! You should get together with your friend azpaul and play beard buddies. You guys can play guessing games where you try to see the remains of last nights dinner and walk into walls trying to figure that out. Good job sweety.

Re: “Money and Challengers, Oh My

I don't believe that it was McSally's pestering of the Air Force that saved the A10 and, other than a weak vote of support for the Sonoran Corridor project, she has brought NOTHING of value - - not even on the conservative side - - to southern Arizona. And for the desperately poor people of her district? Also, NOTHING of value. Face it! She is just a certain vote for the Koch/Exxon/Putin wing of the Federal Government, which serves only corporate greed and the idle rich. Time to send her back to New Jersey.

Mr Grijalva need look no further than Venezuala to see how socialism ends, and it is not well. Once an oil rich country, able to develop all types of social safety nets has collapsed into poverty and the people are rioting in the streets.

They have become the "new" Greece. Take a good look at socialism. Don't turn away. This is the new Democratic Party.

Re: “The Skinny

Transparency, complying with established rules, regulations and laws you do realize you are talking about Donald Trump, right?

I suggest you step outside your politically-correct liberal bubble and start paying attention to the new reality encompassed by the post-fact, climate-change and science denying, nouveau barbarian horde that is occupying Washington intent on dismantling, purging and "decontaminating" anything and everything that came into contact with the former administration.

"Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. In the first stage of life the mind is frivolous and easily distracted, it misses progress by failing in consecutiveness and persistence. This is the condition of children and barbarians, in which instinct has learned nothing from experience."

George Santayana (1863 -1952) "The Life of Reason, Volume 1, 1905"

Since you're bringing up challengers to Congresswoman McSally, may I note that I'm also running? If you want a representative that will spend less time fundraising and more time talking and listening to constituents, visit my website, check me out, and get in touch. I sincerely want to hear from you. https://charlieverdin.com/

Re: “Money and Challengers, Oh My

Oh yeah, I forgot. She voted to let coal companies pour their waste into streams, voted to let people with mental challenges purchase guns, voted to bring back lead bullets, which leach into the ground and poison birds who eat other animals hit by those bullets, and generally roll back all things that are trying to keep corporate greed from destroying the planet.

Re: “Money and Challengers, Oh My

McSally also voted to defund Planned Parenthood and repeal the ACA numerous times without a viable alternative. She voted in favor of plan that would take healthcare from millions of people who desperately need it so the uber-rich could get the $200,000 tax refund they so richly deserve (insert sarcasm here). She voted to let Cox and Comcast sell your web viewing history because, well, the cable companies make a $40,500 contribution to her. She has been and will always be a paid for shill for the Koch brothers.

Re: “Money and Challengers, Oh My

For all of you that hate corporate welfare, didn't the city and the county just approve a million of our pothole repair dollars to an airline for non stop flights to NY? Please make them one way flights and take the politicians with you.

Re: “Money and Challengers, Oh My

Based on the ROI (return on investment), I am pretty sure that electing politicians to any office -- federal, state or local -- amounts to crowd-sourcing careers, income, benefits and retirement of said politicians with little else to show for the common constituents.

Now, if you are a special interest lobbyist, corporation or major donor, America has the best politicians you can buy, but don't ask the Russians right now, I think they are having buyer's remorse.

Re: “The Pima County Fair is Back and You Don't Want to Miss It

Please don't forget the Old Pueblo Hall exhibits. These are handmade crafts and arts by real people and so totally inspiring. Many schools also provide curricular based exhibits worth seeing, and then there are the wonderful 4-H things as well. The good side of the community is there. So many kids say they never knew that was out there.

Re: “Libraries Trump Hate

Cutting libraries is a little like cutting Meals on Wheels--both programs are life-savers, not only for the nutrients they provide but for the community they engender as well. We have the money to fund all the war toys we want, so that OUR playground bully can exchange threats with other playground bullies on a world stage, but no money for libraries and Meals on Wheels. We can fund a passel of Tomahawks and "the mother of all bombs" to destroy other countries, but can't fund the social infrastructure of our own. And then locally we are supposed to be happy to have Raytheon, who makes the war toys, donate to our pathetically underfunded public schools. Don't get me wrong, as a public school advocate, I AM happy that they participate. I'm just sorry that our (and their) economic health depends on the destruction of resources worldwide. I just wish that their business contributed to REAL world security, instead of just their donations.

It's medication time! Quit posting and chat with your buddy JHuppent while the two of you wait in line for your methadone. The rest of us can take a breather and we are very appreciative of that.
