Re: “Danehy

For example " If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor." Yeah, that might have something to do with it.

Re: “Out-of-the-Box Solutions

Michele Ream has always been an active advocate for the homeless and has stepped up to "be the change" we as a society mostly just speak of. I would like to donate my side yard for the next homeless hut property. Michele .... call me.

Re: “Out-of-the-Box Solutions

It is a practical and frugal solution that also allows people who have a hard time living in enclosed spaces still have shelter and a place to stash their stuff. A way of helping that can be acceptable for all parties involved. We have to take care of our chronically out on the streets people, we do one way or another. Everyone should have a quality life. Because one day it could be you.

Re: “Danehy

Uppity was not even on the list. Incompetent was #2.

"Nearly equal numbers call him honest and a liar."

I wonder if that was because of the Obamacare lies?

Re: “Danehy

Hey Guy, it takes big balls to accuse someone you don't even know a racist. Why not E-Mail Mr. Danehy and ask him. You probably won't like the answer.

Re: “Danehy

Kitwarden, if Danehy is so terrible, why do you follow him like your religion requires it? Same question to Mark Haywood. Haven you never heard of trolling?

Re: “Danehy

FTA: You ask 100 of those people to say one word that comes to mind about former President Obama and 75 will say "uppity."

It's condescending attitudes like yours that helped elect Trump and continue to bolster his support. Anyone who can only see Obama's skin color is by definition a racist. That's you, sir.

Re: “Danehy

It was just a matter of time. Looks like we are getting to the bottom of this fraud.

Three CNN employees have handed in their resignation over a retracted story linking President Trump to Russia, the network announced Monday.

Thomas Frank, who wrote the story in question; Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the unit; and Lex Haris, who oversaw the unit, have all left CNN.

In the aftermath of the retraction of a story published on CNN.com, CNN has accepted the resignation of the employees involved in the storys publication, a network spokesperson said in a statement Monday.

Apologies appropriate.

Re: “'Repeal and Replace' Cuts Schools' Medicaid Funding

Grandma Suzy....... Only a Reactionary Ultra Conservative Republican, with no understanding that the very nature of our Democracy creates a Complementry/Interactive, Mutual Dependent Social System with the Requirement to provide Assistance to others when Assistance is Necessary.

If we call ourselves Civilized, Health Care should be provided to ALL citizens at NO cost. Insurance Companies and the Healthcare Industry should NOT profit from the necessity of a Citizen, particularly Children, the Poor, and Elderly, to seek Medical Assistance; Price Controls must be in Place.

Single payer system now is valuable. I don't recall ever using a public school for healthcost concerns.

Re: “Danehy

17 different intelligence agencies testified that there was no vote changed in the election, and now we are reading that democratic operatives may have fabricated much of the story. I am waiting for evidence.

Such a warm fuzzy picture of homelessness and poverty. I'm sorry. I guess I was hoping to live in a different world.

Re: “Danehy

I'm willing to bet that pro tRump commentators would not be affected by a tax increase on the top 10% of Americans. However, when the GOP get finished with you, you won't be able to afford any type of insurance & forget about any future help with Medicaid.

You are always so defensive of "illegals" taking your jobs. From what I've read, crops are dying in the fields because white Americans don't want those jobs. They don't want to clean toilets. What jobs did they take away from you?
I think what you really don't want is a country that looks different from you. You want benefits but, don't want to lend a hand to anyone else. Let me get mine & screw the rest of you.
Wake up. Read something. Climate change is not a hoax and is actually an opportunity for more jobs, not a jobs killer.

This Pres. Is the most irresponsible person in ourpresidential history on many different levels. It frightens me that people continue to support someone that 17 different intelligence agencies reported that Russia helped to get elected. Instead of railing against your fellow Americans maybe you should join them in fighting against a foreign power that set it sights on interfering in our democracy as well as pitting our citizens against each other.

Re: “How's the New 'Anyone Can Teach in Arizona' Law Working Out So Far?

To jhuppent:

Many of us have observed that "too many Arizonans are allergic to professionalism, proper process, and transparency" directly, through seeing the quality of programs offered in publicly funded schools and observing and participating in governance meetings.

Yes, make the per pupil funding portable and allow it to be applied in private institutions. But no, do not strip away all regulatory oversight, all teacher credentialing standards, and anything resembling reasonable per pupil funding levels. The privates need those things to function properly as much as the publics do, as much as any institution or industry does:

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jun/15/grenfell-tower-red-tape-safety-deregulation

(And I will note again that your position on testing is inconsistent. You can't have your testing cake and eat it too. Those of us who've seen administrators manipulating programs in their schools to game the system and produce misleading testing results know that those stats mean nothing without knowing the details of how they were achieved, and that means meaningful REGULATORY OVERSIGHT that provides observation and evaluation of the actual quality of the programming in the schools that produced those test results.)
