Re: “The Secret Is Out

Anastasia, I would argue many hetero and bi people go to IBTs and other gay establishments to show support, both emotionally and financially. Is that so terrible?

Re: “The New Old School

Just a reminder to those who care about these things...Elephante did advertising in support of Martha McSally. I for one don't do business with known republicans and Mama Louisa's won't see another penny from me. There are many other fine Italian restaurants to dine at in this town.

Re: “The New Old School

Sorry to disagree with you McSmelly supporters, but Wise guy has every right not to support a business that has supported a Koch brother puppet. Mr. Elefante has every right to support McSmelly, but he has to deal with the consequences of his actions. That being said, I will miss eating at Mama Louisa's as the food is fantastic. So for all you Trumpanzees who need somewhere to eat after your Klan meeting, I would suggest eating there.

Good for Tiffany. Any bartenders that refers to themselves as a "mixologist" need a sharp slap in the face.

Re: “Slice of Life: Sachiko Sushi

Tucson Foodie the place that writes bull shit reviews of Obon couldn't even select Obon to be the best Japanese food place. LOL. You got beat out by one of the worst Japanese restaurant's in Tucson. Sakura! As if there is any skill into cooking steak on a flat iron. Vs. the crap ass food Obon is plying out.

Best Japanese

TF says: Sakura pretty much pioneered Japanese food in Tucson at a time when few, if any, were offering the cuisine. While Japanese restaurants can generally be categorized into those that offer teppan yaki and those that don’t, other worthy contenders include Yamato, Mr. An’s, and Sachiko.

Re: “Dive In!

The writer also called the Boondocks a Tucson tradition and beloved. Truth hurts dont it?

And Mark is welcome in my space any time!

You clearly dont know him and you are making a fool of yourself here.

I do understand where you are coming from. But you picked the wrong target.

Re: “The Secret Is Out

Wow, talk about discrimination. If the shoe were on the other foot, meaning someone gay or lesbian that enjoyed frequenting a place dominated by a heterosexual crowd was presented with the same defense you give for keeping your space "untainted", that is considered discrimination. How is it not when you present your version of it Karen?

Re: “Let’s Be Real: Dominick’s Real Italian

It's at Cortaro Farms and Thornydale, an area I wouldn't approach with a ten-foot fork. The Trump worshippers in this area would rather fill themselves to bursting with dreck than drive into "town" for an authentic pizza at Reilly's.

Re: “Tucson's 100 Essential Dishes

El Charro is where hotels send tourists. Which means: STAY AWAY. You want *real*, authentic carne seca? Go to South Tucson.

Re: “The New Old School

Me and my family have been going to mama's for years. It's nice to see Michael cater to both the long time guest and the new generation of food eaters that we are starting to see. As for one previous comment, DMAFB brings in a ton of business not only for his restaurant, but the entire community of Tucson. If you feel that his political preference is a reason to not dine at one of Tucson's longest standing restaurants, then perhaps your money is best spent somewhere else that doesn't support the community. I for one will continue to support local business in this city, regardless of political preference. Keep doing what you do Michael Elefante!!

Re: “Let’s Be Real: Dominick’s Real Italian

Ive had the pleasure of working for Ted and Sharon at dominicks, this review saddens me because of the hard work they put in to taking care of every single guest they can...the sheer volume may prevent them from time to time but they genuinely want to fix any and all complaints, i have always loved the classic feel in a hipster driven world. There is a place for people who want a break from all the over the top trends within their menu...they have never claimed to be 5 star but i can stand by their fresh and consistent delicious food..most will agree. In the end, they are great people..if you wanna give your money to corporate america feel free, they will welcome you back anytime with arms wide open.

I like how Brandon Katz of Obon quickly erased his garbage rant. Who cares your restaurant is hipster garbage.

Re: “Let’s Be Real: Dominick’s Real Italian

With an Olive Garden-worthy palate, you really shouldn't be judging. Dominick's is a local favorite for a reason: healthy portions, amazing pizza, and GREAT service--as a matter of fact, I'd rather eat "flavorless" food under the supervision of a friendly, attentive server than have "authentic" food at a trendy downtown spot where some hipster is going to turn his nose up at my because I need a high chair. Lucky for north siders like myself, Dominick's delivers good food and a nice atmosphere.

Uh-oh the old white chain gang is upset! Rita, I would stay out of Furr's and Chili's for a while, until this dies down.. At least during the early bird special hours.

Re: “Let’s Be Real: Dominick’s Real Italian

Lol weak ass review. I've eaten there multiple times. The only pizza that is better is Grimaldis. The garlic knots are as good as Brooklyns. The fried zucchini is the best I've had anywhere in town. Go back to Olive Garden. Dominicks doesn't need you.
