Re: “Bosnian Delights

I have never in my life had a better dish of Beef Stew soup. I'm not sure exactly what it was but it was the best ever ever ever!!! I rarely eat meat but did.

Re: “Mother Knows Best

HumanBean...whats funny is that Andi Berlin of the Star just dropped an article, and video!, of these guys yesterday, so thats two big hits in one week for Barista del Barrio.

I'm sure Sergio can handle it but, man, these breakfast burritos are sooooo good.

Re: “Mother Knows Best

DAMN YOU MARK! LOL This has been my spot since it opened. Now it is going to be over-run with tourists. I hope the food doesn't suffer under the weight of the increased customer load. It has always done steady business but has been calm enough to relax at. It's a small space and will easily be overwhelmed. All selfishness aside, this is the best chorizo burrito in town and very affordable but I imagine the prices will go up along with the lines.... :-)

Re: “Reign in Tacos

The problem at Boca isnt the food. The service is terrible and the margaritas and warm beer while you wait 45min-1hr for the food is the problem. The manager/bartender with the man bun has an attitude problem and the overall dining experience gets ruined by his behavior. My family and friends avoid this place. Too many great tacos in Tucson to put up with a complete lack of service.

Re: “Sausage Party

Grill the brats before simmering them in beer. Grilling preserves the flavor.
You're welcome.

Re: “Inca Inspiration

We went Friday night with another couple and despite some issues with the kitchen getting slammed, the food was well seasoned, well prepared and the staff was on top of any issues.

Re: “From Wastewater to Cold Beer

How is it decided when water it "fit for drinking"?

Who decides when?

Re: “Reign in Tacos

@average joe - I have to think that you haven't been to the restaurant, and the article is unintentionally misleading you. My wife and I ate there two nights ago and each of us had 2 fresh, imaginative tacos and 2 PBRs for $20 including taxes. The people eating with us sure didn't look like rich folk and we certainly aren't, and it was certainly a very pleasant space.

Re: “From Wastewater to Cold Beer

It is oft said that 'all water is recycled,' meaning (and this is true) that every time we take a swig of 'crystal clear pure mountain water' from our water bottle, that water has passed through a dinosaur and several hundred organisms since.

That being said, the Pure Water Brew Challenge was genius. For those Arizonans not yet on board with the idea of drinking recycled water, this was a way to educate and enlighten them. I've had the pilsner, and it's really great. Congratulations to Dragoon, and also to the third place winner, Tucson's own Crooked Tooth Brewery.

Re: “Reign in Tacos

Remember when the University area had something to offer for Tucson's working folk? This place is for spoiled rich kids, and I guess their parents. And once again the Weekly, which was once a place to look for good deals, is cheerleading for places too rich for the blood of the regular people.
