Re: “Know Your Product

Such a wonderful show! And he and the band played their hearts out giving us 40 minutes extra enjoyment. A great memory....hope he returns to our area...

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

Nice to see someone in contact with George. He joined The Poppies a couple of months before I left.A superb bassist, just great to work with.Later on Paul Cannella replaced me,and sometime after that Richard Gomez replaced keyboardist Steve Solomon. It's a bit off topic, but Poppies drummer Rusty Terry (RIP) told us right around then that he would have been in the Larry Cox accident if he hadn't declined the job that Rick Mellinger eventually took.

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

Best band of my teenage years locally. They were well on their way until the fatal accident that took the life of my dear friend Larry Cox.

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

I remember George (Taco) Miraval. Very nice guy. Remember playing football at a park in the center of town. He gave me a hard time for not making a tackle that I should have made. He was right, I should have. Oh, well. Still remember him fondly. He was really was a nice guy.

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

Speaking of nostalgia and all things vinyl, what ever happened to Oracle's "All In Your head?"
I can't seem to find a copy.

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

That is a great rare find of the past!
KTKT, not at 1490 MHz but the later 990 MHz I guess?
I used to listen to KTKT for top 40 while my Dad listened to KHOS
Hey, I worked for Walton's KIKX writing comedy for the shows, until the fiasco in 74. (morn DJ "Gary Craig", afternoon DJ "Jefferson Stone")
I mostly listened to KWFM because KIKX was gone. until the shooting incident with Bob Cooke, which was so sad.
Wow What a memory rush!
Thank you for your share.

Re: “Know Your Product

That's a cool list I never thought of that David Bowie, Ziggy album like that before but coming from King Buzzo I would assume that.
