Re: “Have Guitar, Will Travel

Dave Gonzalez: you're a better songwriter now and you more than still have your guitar chops down.
The Paladins are running all 8 cylinders right now, pedal to the metal!

Re: “People Who Died: Leonard Cohen by Howe Gelb

Beautifully written Howe. He was on my bucket list and unfortunately I never got to see him live however one of the best performances I ever saw was Leonard on Austin City Limits during the I'm Your Man tour with Julie Christensen and Perla
Singing with him. It was an amazing show.

Re: “Brilliant Disguise

Once again its just mainstream rock and pop covers. The lack of imagination is disappointing, its clear these are childhood bedroom fantasies being enacted on stage. Great charity though thanks Steve.

Re: “Know Your Product

Skating Polly has been a favorite for the past few years, since Exene Cervenka of X produced their 2nd record, "Lost Wonderfuls." They are incredible live, and I know we're going to be hearing from them for a long time, since they are incredibly talented! Go see them, they are fantastic!

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

Nice to see someone in contact with George. He joined The Poppies a couple of months before I left.A superb bassist, just great to work with.Later on Paul Cannella replaced me,and sometime after that Richard Gomez replaced keyboardist Steve Solomon. It's a bit off topic, but Poppies drummer Rusty Terry (RIP) told us right around then that he would have been in the Larry Cox accident if he hadn't declined the job that Rick Mellinger eventually took.

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

Best band of my teenage years locally. They were well on their way until the fatal accident that took the life of my dear friend Larry Cox.

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

I remember George (Taco) Miraval. Very nice guy. Remember playing football at a park in the center of town. He gave me a hard time for not making a tackle that I should have made. He was right, I should have. Oh, well. Still remember him fondly. He was really was a nice guy.

Speaking of nostalgia and all things vinyl, what ever happened to Oracle's "All In Your head?"
I can't seem to find a copy.
