Re: “Where I Went Wrong in My Earlier Budget Post

Mr. Safier,

Please forgive Mr. Huppenthal. He never comprehends anything. What is really sad about that is he comes across an intelligent, although manipulative, person. I truly believe that he has selective comprehension. Which makes his commentary even sadder.

Pathetic even.

Boiling yeast isn't very good for it. Making moonshine (running your own still) is also illegal, though.

Re: “Where I Went Wrong in My Earlier Budget Post

John, I didn't state that the $88.1 million wasn't new spending. I said that the entire $88.1 million won't come out of this year's budget. It will be $5.1 million for the next 25 years. Of course it's new spending, but you can't add all of it to this year's total.

Two quotes from my post.
"That means every year for the next 25 years, $5.5 million for those schools will be part of the education budget."
"The budget includes $5.1 million for new school construction, not $88.1 million."

Face it Wayne, tRump called those countries shitholes.

Why are you ALWAYS defending tRump anyways?

Are you actually Sarah Huckabee Sanders?

Re: “Where I Went Wrong in My Earlier Budget Post

Contrary to your rant, the $88.1 million is new spending. It may be borrowing at the state level but it is spending at the school level. The state will have to pay it back, not the schools.

In many years, all new education spending, capital and O&M is accomplished by borrowing at the state level.

The state is probably over $20 billion? in debt, that was all education spending. This entire package might be accomplished with new debt.

Because Arizona has had a strong economy and runs one of the top 5 most efficient and effective state governments, it can do this kind of thing.

Re: “Where I Went Wrong in My Earlier Budget Post

Lets keep in mind that the state of AZ is the most corrupt state in this nation. (Harvard Study, 2014) Of course Ducey wants to look good and will say anything to make himself such. Just like all of them. No harm no foul. Despite my differences with Safier at times, I find no "pattern" of him ever mis posting, with intent to deceive the reader, as I see with most journalist or "journalist/commentator". The error on Mr. Safier's post, is only supporting the corruptness that goes on within the state. I thank him for the fix. Only those who read his stories consistently, know his pattern. He may lean slightly to his left, but, it's his right as well to write. Right?

Re: “Reel Indie

I am biased about Monsieur Mayonnaise because I am one of the subjects of the film, but I did not make it.
Jeff Gardner is flippant about the film if not facetious, and your readers should know Trevor Graham's film has received tremendous reviews on every continent.

Martha McSally flew high,
Made a name for herself in the sky,
But then to politics she jumped,
Backing Donald the tRump,
And her ethical compass just died.

Re: “Where I Went Wrong in My Earlier Budget Post

You should be ashamed David. After chastising me, I have waited a week to see if there were any sources to confirm Dick Durbin's claim of what President Trump said regarding "other countries."

As of 3:19 PM Nevada time today, there has not been a confirmation. But there have been three separate denials. Either not said or not heard.

"Hatred causes blindness which can not be cured."

Martha McSally, an empty flight suit posting as a legislator. Please say goodbye to Trump's favorite congresswoman.

Re: “Danehy

Douchey, tRump, Brownnoseback, as well as most other Republicans are Economic morons. Trickle-Down-Economics, one of their most ingenious deceptions thanks to Saint Reagan , still rears it's ugly head from time to time but dies a swift death. Republicans ,such as George W. Bush, can take an Economy that is running on jet fuel with surpluses in the Treasury and millions of jobs created by President William Clinton, and turn that Economy into a crippled, job-shedding, debt-ridden international disgrace that dominoes the entire world into a Second Great Depression. Once the Republicans have tried their idiotic plans for the Economy , etc and have failed miserably , Democrats are elected in droves to salvage the shit-hole,(I can say that because tRump said it) that's left. By the time Democrats have rejuvenated our Economy and lives back to an acceptable level along come the Republicans with their lies and deceptions and start stealing elections again by blaming Democrats for the previous mess we were in. The brains of most Americans can't remember what happened last week much less what happened 4 to 6 years ago and they fall for the lies. And the cycle continues....

Re: “Sour Grapes

What a crock! Not sure where this reviewers head space was at, but the play that I saw at the Rogue theater was, in my opinion, an artistic achievement. The Grapes of Wrath is a very complex story... discerning who is the protagonist is an art-form unto itself. Translating this complex story on a stage with bare minimal props - from the dust bowl, along the highway and eventually to the fields of California is no easy feat. All the little attention to detail in the staging of the actors, including the flow and movement which propelled the story-line, added to the tapestry of enveloping us into the story of the Joad's struggles. As for the actors and their performance, it was superb. Each actor was able to draw me into the character that they were portraying seamlessly. Reviewers themselves have to take in account their own limitations, especially their own expectations. Sherilyn arrived at this venue with expectations and pencil in hand, and from her review, a limited perception... I arrived with no expectations and was immensely entertained... my hat is off to the Rogue Theater and their production...

Such a Tragedy!!!

Pima County Prison Officials, in my view, are complicit in this young man's murder by placing him in a Jail Cell with a known Psychotic!
