Re: “AP: McSally Urges Colleagues To Vote for This 'Fucking Thing,' aka Zombie Trumpcare

That's some tough talk for someone without a spine.

Re: “The Skinny

Has anyone considered that the so called debit card can be used to pay tutors? What standards are there for the tutors? Why can't a parent who doesn't like the personal scrutiny of public schools pull their kid out and claim they are home-schooling the kid, and then use the voucher to pay a family member or friend to "tutor" their kid? I have worked with too many abused children who were removed from school under exactly such circumstances and been horribly abused in their own families for this to be a fictional situation. Second part of the scam is $5600 will pay the cost of sending a kid to a private profit-making tutoring organization for kids with questionable or non-existent results. Another way to make private profit money off kids and parents.

Re: “Cannabis: A conflict in cash

Really, We're haggling over something that should have never been outlawed, to begin with. Driven by corruption, racism, protectionism and a skewed perception related to Blacks & Mexicans & employment opportunities. Facts being, No One Has Ever Died Consuming any form of this plant. It has Health Properties that no other natural plant possesses. National Legalization is a Massive Benefit to The Planet & People, All other life forms, especially The Environment as a Whole. The Descent comes from the corrupted, the invested and businesses that will see their profit margin drop. What We All Need To Ask Is, What Is Best For The Planet & Life?

McSally needs to go. She's shown again and again that she's a tea party, right-wing yes-woman disguised as a centrist. Getting her staff to answer anything, even basic questions, is a fruitless effort.

Roma has had the Ultimate Roma and Prosciutto Caprese on their menu for years, they are not new sandwiches.

Seriously, can we get a food reporter/reviewer who has lived in this town for more than five seconds?

Re: “Lindy’s New Location is Open and Awaiting its Food Network Debut

Hopefully their quality will improve. I remember at the other location asking for a burger done medium rare, and was told I could only get it medium WELL, or WELL. This leads me to believe they have a problem handling food. But, if you throw enough toppings on it, it's all good I guess.

Re: “Tucson Tamale's Secret Ingredient

Better late than never. Here's another grammatical error:

"Tucson Tamale has opened their third location at 7286 N Oracle Road..."

Since the subject - Tucson Tamale - is singular, then the sentence should read "Tucson Tamale has open ITS third location".

Carry on.

Thanks for the excellent article. As someone who has lost more than one person to suicide, I really appreciate the frank treatment of this issue.

Please use apostrophes appropriately. We notice, and you lose credibility.

"Lindys New Location is Open and Awaiting it's (!!!) Food Network Debut"

Is there a proof reader in the house?

Re: “McSally Declines To Take a Stand on Zombie Trumpcare

McSally is a wimpy, spineless, lemming. She has lost touch with her constituency and we will vote her out of office!

Re: “Do Arizona Republicans Want to (a) Dismantle; (b) Damage; (c) Degrade; and/or (d) Devalue Public Education?

Republican have cut public education funding over a billion dollars since 2009 so I would say they are trying to degarde public education. Spending education monies on charter schools which many are independently owned and are for profit. Also more than several elected public officals own or on the borad of directors for charter schools. Since Symington was governor Republicans have warred against public education.

Ducey Math:

(Public Education - Funding) x (Teachers - Certification) = Gullible Voters

(Private Education + Funding) x (Charter Schools - Oversight) = Gullible Voters

The pollsters have told McCain for 30 years, just keep doing what you're doing and they will vote you back in. I hear a few noise makers but lately the liberals just can't win an election. They are morally bankrupt. Sit back and see what happens. It may be better than you think.

Re: “McSally Declines To Take a Stand on Zombie Trumpcare

I look forward to 2018. McSally does not represent her constituency. She falls in line behind Ryan like a dutiful minion. We are district of moderates (from both parties) and independents, yet she leans toward the freedom caucus. Why? Certainly not because we mandate her to do so. The way she dodges constituents most definitely makes her a coward, not a respected and fearless USAF pilot.

Re: “McSally Declines To Take a Stand on Zombie Trumpcare

As sgsmith said above, the military saying of "no guts, no glory" is a common one. Unfortunately, COL McSally has apparently forgotten or lost a great deal of the principles of her military years. She's also forgotten that officers take care of their troops & how that applies to how she needs to apply the principle to ALL of her constituents. She doesn't want to talk to us, doesn't want to hold open forums, doesn't want anything that isn't filtered through multiple layers to make the questions "safe" for her to deal with.
Oh, she's going to be taking bows for proposing that Congressmen & women should lose their Congressional insurance......does this affect her? To some extent, but let's not forget she's also eligible for TRICARE, a pretty decent insurance for retired military, which most of her colleagues will not qualify for. So, bottom line, she'll take the bows while still having her own insurance needs met. No bows, Martha, no bows for you or for your unwillingness to be a REAL Congresswoman for ALL of your people!

Giving Bumstead's the bum's rush does seem pretty harsh.

Re: “Do Arizona Republicans Want to (a) Dismantle; (b) Damage; (c) Degrade; and/or (d) Devalue Public Education?

Look in the mirror David!

Invoices for TUSDs outside desegregation law firm, Steptoe & Johnson, total approximately $772,000 for 11 months and 5 days in 2016. This includes charges for driving to and from Phoenix, meals, and hotel rooms.

The fees for driving, meals & hotel rooms were for $4,390 out of the $772,000 billed by Steptoe & Johnson.

The amount TUSD paid its outside desegregation legal firm under Dr. H.T. Sanchez far exceed anything paid to the Districts outside desegregation legal firms in recent years.

TUSD has incurred far more legal bills fighting the desegregation order than the plaintiffs have billed to protect it and have it fully implemented.-ADI
