Re: “Claytoon of the Day: Nixon Derangement Syndrome

Lock them up.

Wall Street investment analyst Charles Ortel called the Clinton Foundation the largest unprosecuted charity fraud ever attempted before all the newly-exposed emails from campaign chairman John Podestas account were released from WikiLeaks.

The leaks have fortified his findings. The Wall Street investment analyst, who retired at 46 and prides himself on researching complex problems like General Electric and the credit crisis, has been fly-specking the Clinton Foundation since the spring of 2015-Daily Caller

Re: “Tucson Salvage

I so remember going to Giorsettis when I would visit my family in Duddleyville. They had the best bologna and cheese! I remember going in with my Uncle Jerry and his family! Great memories!

Re: “Idiot Boksen - 10 Things I Hate About "Downton Abbey"

Watching DA on Amazon Prime and am shocked to discover how terrible it is despite the world-wide acclaim. Was actually doubting my own judgement and wondering why I didnt get it, so continued to watch. After all, the house and costumes are pretty.

Early in season 1 I approved of the fact that Lord Grantham was apparently a kind and decent man, but as I have continued to watch, it has become clear that he has zero coping skills. He becomes an asshole whenever the smallest thing doesnt go his way, and cannot tolerate even the slightest change in his routine or anywhere else on the planet.

I do love Lady Violets one liners, though. I thought I might make it to the bitter end, but they just found out Isis the dog has cancer. Ive had enough. Im bailing.

(I never said I had great coping skills.)

P.S., Mary is a bitch.

Re: “Never Going Back to Tucson

A right to work state, can be a rough road. For a person with the wrong working skills, and low ambition.

The blue states, pay a janitor $30 an hour, and Benifits. In Tucson its $15 an hour and no benefits.

The warmer states , are harder for some.

Re: “Never Going Back to Tucson

A great article, from a gifted writer. He could replace the word Tucson, with Fargo in my case. The coldest, windiest place to the hottest place. I love the desert, and Im an air conditioning repairman the same age as the writer, about 60-65 I guess. And Im still on hot roofs 42 years later.

But I love the desert , once it gets ahold of you, its owns you. The good , bad and ugly. A right to work state, hard for a lot of people to make it. Vs the blue union states , where a janitor makes $25 an hour. Give me the warm weather and its struggles any day.. I lived in Fargo North Dakota 20 years.

The writer could have replaced the word Tucson, with 1000 different towns in our country. By 1000 different men and women, who didnt have ambition, and purpose.

This is more about lack of ambition, and success and happiness. Then it is about Tucson.

I loved his article, I love his free spirit. But that free spirit comes with a price.

Re: “Danehy

Hold onto your hats, Folks. This is 2 weeks in a row I agree with Tom. I'm not sure about
Jimi being too wasted to play well. However, Tom was there, I wasn't so I'll have to take his word for it.
He's right about the Young Rascals, they were a great band. They were from my home town of Long Island. They were almost all Italian which always helps. Like ladderflapper also said,Dino Danelli was a fantastic drummer. He was what us drummers called clean. I was a half-assed drummer. Not too bad considering I was self taught. I probably would have been better had I spent more time practicing playing and less time trying to twirl my sticks like Dino.
I saw the Rascals in Aug. 1968 at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens. They were outstanding. The opening act was a band called the Vagrants. They featured an up and coming guitarist Leslie West , who would go on to form Mountain.
Years ago I somehow mentioned Woodstock to Tom. Tom asked me if I was really there. I assured him I was. Woodstock was without a doubt the mother of all parties. I remember alot about it, but certainly not all of it. I guess that was due to copious amounts of fine drugs which I helped myself to on a regular basis. Me and my buddies got there 2 days early and stayed 2 days after it was over.
I can't say how stoned Jimi was that day. I have to assume he was pretty buzzed. All I know is that when he did the Star Spangled Banner and went right into Purple Haze....let's just say it's 50 years later and I never felt like that since. A few months later a poster came out showing the crowd from behind the stage saying " no one who there will ever be the same" Boy is that ever the truth.

Re: “The Skinny

I wish the Skinny had the excess room to report on Raul Grijalva. Or maybe they do.

How much will it cost us this time Raul?

Re: “Burdens and Barriers

Refuge is the problem. Refugees are coming from 30-40 nations with no proof of that. Needing a better paying job is not a qualifying factor for refugee status. We need to vet these coming in. For many reasons. The drug cartels could be placing distributors throughout our drug hungry country.

Re: “Ding Dong, Sarah Huckabee Sanders is Gone

Since she hasn't given a press briefing in over 3 months and only 2 in the last 6.5 months, how will we know if she's gone? Does this mean her makeup artist is also leaving? BTW, what have we been paying them for? Just wondering.
