Thank you Margret for reminding us that Art is one of our most potent agencies in sparking the imagination in resistance to systematic dissolve and that Art which is reserved for escapistt purpose and profit always comes up short in feeding those most in need . Hi there, I thought Jose Antonio was murdered on October 10th, not on the 8th?
Yet there are so-called "real Americans" alive today that would gladly see the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of Islamic-Americans limited, curtailed or eliminated because of the same racially-motivated fears based on ignorance and misdirected national patriotism.
I spent more than 20 years defending the United States from "all enemies, foreign and domestic", but more than that it was about upholding values and recognizing the reality that there are evil people in the world who would use any means necessary to secure and maintain power over others -- even if it meant harnessing the most base emotions, cloaking them in the American flag, and using them to destroy the America that I know and love from within.
I wish I could call FDR one of our greatest presidents for the good he did do, but nothing makes up for his legacy of this crime in our history.
Way to go Ryanhood. A local Tucson treasure.
I lived in the house of the son of one of celias attorneys a few years ago. I wrote a play and screenplay on Celia, and have done tons of research on the story. Someone in Hollywood owns the book rights, and they have been trying to produce it for years. My play is a fictional account from one of Jameson's daughters. I've always felt the story should be told broadly...wish I'd found d a bigger audience for mine.
Thank you for sharing this Hoss. So insightful, soulful....brilliant my dear friend.
I was wondering what life is like in Mexico, and you were able to explain your experience. It was interesting. I hope that someday I might travel there and see for myself. Thanks for shedding the light.
Dan, this was a great piece, intuitive and witty. You truly captured succinctly the Mexican psyche.
The Devil's Dictionary...Accordion, n.An instrument in harmony with the sentiments of an assassin.
Love it, and UN GRINGO CHILANGO
Dan if anything you lead an interesting life and sound like an enlightened Mexican - American
(only in reverse). Interesting country and enjoy!
Hey Dan, that was a fun little read. I got the chance to be lead around the DF by my 15 year old son two summers ago. Was completely shocked that we saw so little white faces and when we did their accents were always European. We got the chance to drive down to Loredo, BCS from Phoenix this winter to see the Baja around the time when the gas jumped. Such a different place so close to home. Had no idea about your 2016 record which has me listening to it this fine morning. Take care.
I loved this show so much I am taking my teaching assistant as a thank you for her help in my classroom
I think you mean "...solidly supportive of this tenet of the theater's mission...", not "tenant".
"narrative dances about Dillanger." Finally, John Dillanger, the lesser-known and not as successful criminal, is getting his day in the sun. It's about time!

You've put a very big smile on my face. Thanks so much, a wonderful holiday season to you too, and I'll make sure to show up in respectable 19th-century attire.
We had a lot of fun as well Ex-Arizonan!
There is so much hate in other comment threads here on the TW site; that alone makes our interactions golden. The Time Bandits are pleased that you have a sense of humor. Because of this, we will include a center stage view of President Lincoln's Gettysburg Address free of charge. But please, do yourself a favor and dress appropriately. If you show up in an Adidas jogging suit, the audience that surrounds you may mistake you for a warlock. Believe us, you don't want that to happen.
Have yourself a great holiday season, regardless of the time and place where you choose to celebrate it.
