Re: “Battle for the Bud

I am a CPA who has given multiple seminars on the marijuana industry, including the accounting and taxation thereof.

In late April, I laid out the legislation needed to fix this problem, even the wording needed to exempt state legal businesses from the provisions of IRC 280(e), and also from the purview of other Federal Agencies such as ATF, etc. But, leaving those provisions in place as tools against the cartels and other major players. I asked Congresswoman McSally to forward to the proper committees.

Congresswoman McSally's office has not responded. I have also sent her correspondence concerning the Civil Forfeiture issue. Again, no response.

What frustrates me the most about this is that I have been a diehard supporter of hers, both financially and otherwise, since her first run for Congress.

Re: “Battle for the Bud

This is back to the congress funding the Rohrabacher-Farr amendment. Why is it we are not asking our representatives from Arizona their stance.

It can and must be the front issue on the midterm coming up. Arizona has 9 districts along with the pacific coast states Nevada, NM, CO that is total that is like 90 representatives. The eastern states that have medical and the US possessions congressional representatives there is another 70. This is enough to swing a majority to swing.

As it is now so much is being deleted, re-written, evaluated and arbitrated on so many fronts. In Having a representative such As McSally staying in the swamp keeping her head above water we need to find out if we have an effective tool there for our representative ? We should all send a letter of repeal of schedule 1 to our congressman. Raul Grijalva where is his stand ?

Does anyone really think with inflation around the corner, as rates rise, economy slows, fed cuts programs and funding. That the states with medical & recreational marijuana will take closure of a 25 billion cash flow for more debt to keep the failed drug war REALLY.

JUST A NOTE THE AVERAGE AGE DEMOCRAT IN CONGRESS IS 77

Re: “Reefer Round-Up

I have an idea !!!!
lets bash ridicule in every way imaginable. Republican, neo cons, conservatives, in every breath. Lets enlist the likes of daily stars Fitz and ask for understanding on how we need to hate and destroy his profiled citizenry for the sake of all humanity. Lets do this in a comedy scenario, so we can hide behind just kidding. I was referring to the irony LOL and you were duped there is the punch line. Let's get Jon Stewart and Comedy Central we can have all sorts of people to misquote and then attack. This will cause for consideration with US atty's NOT.

This need to be done, to get them to understand the Cannabis and Schedule one is moronic legislation. And the liberal left is the paragon of progressive governance. This can be done by untruthful Media reporting not on the considerations but on the reporting of the only feasible alternative. And what is the feasibility is what the existing governance is willing to except.

What I suspect is the wolf is in sheep clothing. This very Rastafarian dread locked, new age, progressive image being promoted is nothing more than a ruse. Nothing more than the like of promoting John Lennon as a humanist and Robert Kennedy. AS though a justice Leader ordering illegal wire taps and foreign assassinations. Time has finally revealed what the promoters can no longer profit from, so no reason to cover anymore.

I still have my Abbey Road, Help, White albums. I can still smoke run backwards on a turntable variable speed you wont believe what I can hear Trump forecast as the deliver of what was that now ????? lets play it again, roll another, The foundation of the majority of my generations understanding and we had kids.. To so many the biggest problem was finding enough tape for the corners of the Risk & Monopoly box to separate seeds and stems. Understanding this you can understand political Opinions in the Daily star

We see so much legislation this term on reigning in the civil seizure rules, claims, disbursements, uses, accounting procedures, curtailing all the abuses that have been happening we hope, but doubtful. Then we see so much on proposition rules and oversight. I firmly believe in my heart of heart that confiscated monies went into MPP to lobby for a rewrite of the state constitution with the smoke screen of legalization. If this happened and a request for a forensic audit is we cant comment on ongoing investigations.

At this point just who do you think is pushing leglization?

Re: “High Costs

I believe that the forces that are arbitrating lobbying prognosticating in favor of cannabis are solely aimed at legalization.

It appears that voices being heard now are those of disgust. I hear the constant rhetoric. How can Arizona be so backward not be progressive follow the studies of majority. It has to be conservative wacko religious rights thats the bag of disgust. Very willing to point them out, out them so to speak these are the paradigm that is the repressive force. This will certainly swing consideration for use and need the stoners side of reason.

Prop 205 did none of these of following the national majority on HOW. What prop 205 did was channel by Arizona constitution monies into enforcement make a golden goose shitting golden eggs willy nilly to education, prosecutors, makeup social studies and the counseling to go with it. Prop 205 was obscene like porno I cant describe it but I know it when I see it.

All of these issues and with the interstate trade of hemp and cannabis. As well as standards on how states will do business, banking and medical study along with other standards. All of this will fall into place with the repeal of schedule 1. This would place the entire protection of the Bill of Rights and the rest of the Constitution to all citizens. Access to court protections and reliefs of over burdensome regulations.

People just dont get it there is no other target but that repeal and if it takes a constitutional amendment repeal schedule 1 it and keep it there. As it is now state governments are building these little obscure raping machines called Cannabis control of some type. Handouts to governments who then raise regulation fees to get more handouts. All this does is keep and maintain the sigma of cannabis our modern day indentured servitude for it's use.

Just look At Ducey and the abuses of power to steer regulation authority to fund raisers on the Hemp something really stinks there. Off schedule 1 that whole is gone out of his control into national interstate trade. And this tea bagger stopped all regulation increases lets see who take control of the up coming Hemp.

Re: “Hemp Haters

In order for a overide the legislature would have to meet, in az they have a half time legislature so most are going home for legislative session has closed. This the reason AZ needs a fulltime legislature paid out of the marijuana dollars. The LDS CATHOLIC moral compass is having it,s last tilt off of true north this is the call to not look at the national headlines lets look HARD!! Our local represenatives if this is not promised then we need to send them home. Keep them poor they need us more

There is something stinky, talk about contributors MPP wont even disclose who their contributors were. I dont understand Adleson contributing a millon to defend his business with the existing MMJ law as opposed him trying to buy into by force the what he felt was extortion by the like of the junk bond salesman Holyoak and his BS prop 205. Unless Nick can list the expedures on both sides the argument is useless what the point ?

I am in Seattle right now come here often as well as Eugene. I can witness first hand and you want to see homeless issues Tucson is a paradise compared to this. So one thing nice is they don't pull the zoning BS where county gets to renegotiate if allowed while they take the tax dollars. Doing this from my phone sorry topos

Re: “Smoke Sessions

It appears so much need to be pandered too, hate we first must show who and what we dislike, our long term disgust must be stated before any work to make whats right is done.

I guess I missed the boat again. I didn't understand that boat only sailed to the destination of intolerance. In order to get passage one needs to disassociate and insult others. Then to go on board and work to get other on board that have not agreed in the past. This is working wonderfully a ship of fools my grandmother said.

Re: “Smoke Sessions

You hit the nail on the head. A fun side note:When I was a small child, growing up in the rural south, Jeff Sessions once knocked on our families door and offered to buy all of the bedsheets in the house for double their original cost. I know, weird.

Re: “Gauging the Ganja

Focus I can't agree more.
The question here is what is the product a flower, or a processed plant with additives refined oil ? Do you think as a consumer that since it is manufactured. That every bit of the finished product can be measured and tested as to strength and purity? Then that information is clearly printed 40%>60% so on.

I find it interesting that so many think the vap cartridge flavor is because of strain. It is the flavor added the unflavored might have trace but not discernible or be effective terpenes are added to the refined oil.

Re: “Gauging the Ganja

Quality cannot be tested into a product. It either exists or it doesn't by the time the testing occurs. Time for this industry to look at cannabis specific GMPs. Testing is important- but it certainly isn't the solution to the problem!

Re: “Gauging the Ganja

Thanks , Nick
There are standards of testing to marijuana that are being adopted in the pacific states. Basically the whole PAC 12 is a MMJ legal but Utah. Heck legalize hemp make it a exportable raw and finished products, the Mormons will jump aboard.

As marijuana market is now there is some very good quality product @ reasonable prices. I can still get a 1/4 pound of Mexican shag weed for $250.00 thats around $2.00 a gram. By the time all the crap is removed say doubled $4.00 a gram old smelly dry and basically big bowl burn. Who know whats in it.

Then you have the dispensary stuff which is always good to a degree. Prepackaged helps maintain freshness and quality as well as maintain product. The place I go dont have a on the shelf inventory sitting long enough to become diminished in ways.

However the Vap & oil industry needs to be looked at a lot better. Taking a line from Cousin Vinny the law of physics cease to exist in my home. This is true I can go to one of 4 dispensaries now and get the buy one get one free 300mg that is not labeled on percentages the leaf extraction done with solvent is like inhaling kerosene nice.

But the real trick is I get what I am told is 90% pure THC with a little flavor in 300 milligram cartridges. I go to Washington and here to my dispensary and the 250 mg pure oils I get fill up both 300mg cartridges that are one in house grown product locally grown and produced. YES THIS IS TRUE IN MY HOME I CAN MORE THE DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF LIQUID JUST BECAUSE IT IS IN MY HOME. I am blessed huh!

The AZDHS/MMj has oversight on testing for mold and pesticides and far as quality or percentages of cannabinols or types. I do believe that AZDHS/MMJ should have a lot better look at this vap pull in some standards on weights and measures of products.

Re: “Cannabis: A conflict in cash

Due to the permit process, all the medical card holders are already on a list through their pharmacies; so persecution -ah- prosecution of users will be facilitated.

Ramzi Eid Masarweh Nick Meyers: I consume medicinal marijuana every day just so you don't mistake me for the crowd you write about in this article and I have to take exception with one point. Eating all of a six portion pot candy, like a child is likely to do, has put adults in paranoid hysteria and fear; not remotely like the mild alcohol intoxication, you compare it to. Yes, it's unlikely that permanent harm will come of this physically, but the jury is still out on the psychological effect on a child of a massive pot overdose due to the concentrations available these days.

Re: “Cannabis: A conflict in cash

Looking at the recent Federal Budget that passed last week. Haven't had a budget for 6 of the 8 years under Obama. The Republican Congress continued to pass a bill on Marijuana prosecution. This is the same continuance of funding that the REPUBLICAN congress has added for the last 3 legislative sessions.
In short no monies can be spent on the investigation prosecution to state medical marijuana programs. California just rolled out it's 221 page guideline to legalization. Just how much of the hmm good for the people and education taxes are going to go up in smoke in innumerable ways ?

We are going to see a storm of prosecution in the states that went legal. There will be no thanks the user of marijuana or the powerful inside minority that saved the ignorant, from this like of rape and pillaging of the marijuana industry that is about to happen.

Arizona has found it's self in a unique position. A reasonable and somewhat accountable on all fronts state Medical MMJ program. There is huge room for new frontiers new opportunities new discoveries.
For this to happen we have learned to dodge the Robber Barons that disguise them selves as compassionate empathetic humans of dubious medical understanding. Or the understanding journalist who takes grandma to the DR. can see the operation and thinks they now can report on the MMj industry with knowledge. What is even worse these journalist are swimming like guppies waiting for chums of Governmental tidbits thinking they are of value with pool info and not knowing the difference or caring.

In short the Robber Baron of today are Government civil servants it's commission and contractors. That is the whole and the sole reason of prop 205. To build a new commissioning department with no court oversight and fantastic police and procedural prosecutorial powers all hiding under the BS Bill Clinton legal raping of the country call civil seizure to promote police on the ground policy that gave us Ferguson and other ugly cull the citizens for cash Policing.

Re: “Cannabis: A conflict in cash

Well reading and tripping/medicating good article going down memory lane.. prop-205 it stunk in so many ways the composting is taking a long time.
Alcohol prohibition, When the federal government realized it could not pass a law that stopped fermentation. However lets take a look at the power behind the 18th and the 21st amendment. Both were the same group of wealthy women. The "Womens Christian Temperance Union" (WCTU) Women like Pauline Sabin who some say was the voice behind the repeal of he 18th amendment and the Volstead act. Pauline Sabin Wife of a investment brokerage banker her father a Bank President. Can we ponder how we might apply that today? Can you say Ivanka if she wants to become a political figure in the future her stand is more important now than ever. As well as McSally's in a very Blue county and town.

It appears that what is needed is a amendment to repeal the schedule one. Is there really any target left but that repeal of schedule 1. We can list the social inequities the the medical indifference the judicial misconduct. All of those are firmly in place with Schedule 1. I believe the solution to the repeal or a amendment doing so can be done with Women. Women dont need any more burden put on them raising families and paying all the indirect of the War on drugs.

There will be no quasi legalization of Marijuana in Arizona that does not include decriminalization. There will be no more" heads I win tails you" lose propositions like 205. Let me sand only us few in the market and go ahead and still over prosecute and seize. Which that power has been severely curtailed by this legislature.

With the repeal of Schedule One great things will rain like tasty goodies from a Pinata.

Re: “Cannabis: A conflict in cash

Really, We're haggling over something that should have never been outlawed, to begin with. Driven by corruption, racism, protectionism and a skewed perception related to Blacks & Mexicans & employment opportunities. Facts being, No One Has Ever Died Consuming any form of this plant. It has Health Properties that no other natural plant possesses. National Legalization is a Massive Benefit to The Planet & People, All other life forms, especially The Environment as a Whole. The Descent comes from the corrupted, the invested and businesses that will see their profit margin drop. What We All Need To Ask Is, What Is Best For The Planet & Life?

Re: “Sinister Substitutes

If republicans would simply let us legalize marijuana in the first place, then we wouldn't need flawed initiatives like prop 205.
Yes, it's really that simple.
BTW, the main reason that marijuana is still illegal is that if you do legalize it, then you can also grow hemp. Hemp could replace tree pulp for making paper, largest paper company owner...Koch indust. It could also make cheaper, less toxic plastic, largest oil refiner for plastic....Koch Indust. Same for synthetic fabrics, biofuels, lotions...all interfere with Koch profits. Then, there's the law enforcement- imprisonment industry that donated so heavily to Ducey's campaign.
No, pot being illegal has nothing to do with getting high.

Re: “Sinister Substitutes

The ethic level of the people in the Marijuana business. This includes the Dispensaries their suppliers and the whole of MPP are void of anykind of ethics. it is laughable that ethic's are being used as a barometer of trust here. MPP wont list their contributors but Insys has to being a public company. Think on that for a a second.

While the company Insys has very questionable and illegal practices. As well as being sued using accounting and financial disclosure policies that are required for public companies. All of these protections are void in any state that has legal marijuana.

Some are of the opinion that huge multi state conglomerates and foreign investors are the way to combat the same. But wait a huge Multi state marijuana conglomerate they would be working for compassion and mercy for the patient. Is this not the same BS line Insys plays.

Prop 205 FAILED because it would have made a huge multi-state rouge police force that changed the Arizona constitution completely. Used the funds to allow only a few to the market (insys)
Would have set it self as a tax collecting, law enforcing, exempt of corporate, banking, criminal prosecution as per AZ constitution change. NO OTHER STATE LEGALIZED THE WAY PROP 205 ATTEMPTED.

Some find it interesting that That the legislature in HB2447 that passed overwhelming the deposits of RICO monies into a Az attorney general acct and strict controls on how it is dispersed. I have in my mind no doubt that Pima County RICO as well as other county monies went into MPP attempt. Ethic yea well as well as disclosure on all contributors to out of state PAC's.
