Re: “The Skinny

Anyone who wants to stop white, black, brown or yellow protesters is missing the point. All protesters are free to do so with the proper permit. And the "unite the right" March was constitutional protected people. Wake up before we all lose these rights.

Re: “The Skinny

She has a right to say what she wants. It's amazing how many people throw the racist word around. Is it racist to be free of feelings of " white guilt"? Do I have to apologize for being of European decent? You people are so narrow minded. The hate talk that is on here is just as appalling as a white nationalist march. Grow up hater.

Re: “The Skinny

Most of the Republicans are ball-less, refusing to say the name TRUMP in their repudiations. Chicken $h!t$.

Re: “The Skinny

Good column. On the mark on all points. That radio guy Harris has never asked Miller a tough question; he gives her a free commercial every time she's on his moronic show.

Re: “The Skinny

The saddest part is that despite how its been demonstrated that this kind of intolerance hurts people, that alone wont drive people away from it. White nationalists will continue to think we are only a "white country" and we will be doomed to have another james fields or dylann roof commit a racist attack.

Re: “The Skinny

Not sure where "there is no difference" has been living, but the democrats I know pretty much stand for "what Bernie stands for," with a determination to push the party to progressive beliefs that will appeal across the spectrum from older to younger. As for Kirkpatrick, I'm still smarting from her falling into line with Flake and McCain about Oak Creek. Heinz didn't seem to have his heart in it. Bruce Wheeler has served my district well.

Re: “The Skinny

Palisades are you saying that Congress is supporting Trump's agenda? Or did you mean until the next election after '18?

Re: “The Skinny

she has a chance of beating her. im not hopeful that congress will shift enough to fully undermine trump's agenda though after next year's election.

Re: “The Skinny

Tom Tronsdal is selectively campaigning. He's the one Democratic candidate who has not showed up on our doorstep. Guess he's canvassing higher-end 'hoods instead of working class streets.

Re: “The Skinny

There is going to be a "cake walk" if you will for seats once McCain makes his retirement plans. Long dollars say McSally could be moved to his seat, but Kelli Ward is making a lot of noise for it. Ducey says he won't name himself. If he moves McSally her seat would then be another appointment of a southern Arizonan, of which there are numerous possibilities.

It would be fun to start a list, before Jim Click does. God rest his soul Emil Franzi would have been fun in that position. Anybody seen Roy Laos lately?

Re: “The Skinny

The 'carpetbagger' accusations are fair. She is chasing a political career and CD-2 will only be a stepping stone, she and McSally have that in common. If she wins, she will skip town in a few years to run for the Senate again. In truth, she should reconsider her move to Tucson and should look seriously at a run for the Senate in 2018, it is her best shot with both seats potentially being open. Anne is not right for Tucson. I don't know which candidate is but at this point she has the most to prove and overcome.

Re: “The Skinny

I guess she hadn't heard that the Democrats changed their message. They now stand for whatever the Republicans stand for. Kind of a reflection of John McCain's history.

Over confident because of vote fraud? Maybe they should matter.

Re: “The Skinny

Only THREE of the candidates for the Ward III office on the show? There are FOUR people running in that race. I guess if the candidate isn't a "D", they don't matter?

Re: “The Skinny

It's Medicaid, not Medicare and the new plan removes many from those rolls. We still fool each other when we call "slowing the growth of spending" a cut. It had not yet been spent so it was not cut.

State Governors do not fund Medicare. Payroll withholding and income taxes on SS benefits do.

Re: “The Skinny

Medicare cuts amount to 800 billion over the next few years, the increases you mention are only based on the new, punitive figures, not the current levels of spending. Even the Gov. can't go along with that, because he's gonna have to come up with that money statewide instead.

Re: “The Skinny

I figured none of you knew, that's why I asked. How can you come here and spew your venom and hatred not even knowing what you are talking about?

Medicaid spending increases 20% in the next 10 years.

Under the BCRA, Medicaid spending would grow at 1.9 percent per year through 2026 and then at 3.5 percent per year in the decade after 2026.

Try educating yourselves.

Re: “The Skinny

Do any of you know how much Medicaid spending is set to increase over the next ten years under this new bill? Just tell me the percentage, or is that too detailed for your criticism?

For all the talk of letting people die under this plan, you may have forgotten that the Obama administration let our Veterans die because the VA could not find the basic human decency to provide necessary care. Did you complain to Obama?

Re: “The Skinny

As a mentor of mine said of her; it's a tale of 2 Martha's. Honestly, if she would just be straight about her positions I could get back to my lovely life with a smattering of resistance thrown in.
But her disingenuous representation is intolerable.
