Re: “Ask a Mexican!

This column/writer cracks me up. Always a grain of truth, but a little risque for our seniors! Keep it up, amigo.

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

It's all about the dingle balls on the interior and the primer grey on the exterior.

Just make sure that when you pass the joint to me that there isn't any "Labrador" in it.

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

It is pretty simple why Mexicans (and anyone else) paint their escape cars/trucks grey. It is a base coat, soooo, "what color was that vehicle , fellow?" Grey, he replies ," "That is not much help." Si! " Even black or white is easier to identify. Plus, with a nice grey basecoat it is easy to paint if you get away. Mexicans are not stupid, especially where cars are concerned.

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

I found your response to the first question to be totally irresponsible. Entering the US without proper documentation is a crime. Just as if I went more that 100 miles into Mexico without stopping at the border filling out the proper forms and paying my $21.00 fee. The very least you can be is truthful. Si?

No, they 'aint Immigrants, Mano, when they come America without permission, they are ILLEGAL Aliens HERE

Just like the Guatemalans who enter Mexico without permission are ILLEGAL Aliens THERE.

Changing descriptive adjectives and adverbs doesn't change the status!

Of COURSE you do!

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

Hey Gustavo -- I want to know how the "American carnage" of Trump's inauguration address compares, in your experience, to American CARNITAS, as found across the U.S. both at mobile food and sit-down establishments. Michele M, (prima, El Cargadero).

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

The main reason there are variations in Spanish throughout the Americas is because of the different regions in Spain the original immigrants were from. The Carribean and seaside areas were dominated by the Spanish navy while the army took over the inland areas. The sailors came primarily from Andalusia and the army came from Castile. I had a college friend who was Cuban (he had rowed himself to Florida in the mid-60s). I went with him to Tijuana and he had a fit about how bad the Spanish of the Mexicans there was.

The United States used to have huge regional differences, to the point that during the Civil War soldiers from New England could not understand those from Alabama and vice versa.

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

I think the word "pendejismo" fits the times perfectly in present times because "pendejos" are on the TV a lot.

TB doesn't recognize borders... Especially if ya "sneak" across them... No matter what cultural background you possess TB could care less... We need more TB in Pima County.

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

Nobody gives a damn about Mexicans or Mexican heritage, descent, etc. Problem lies with those who enter the US illegally. Be it on foot, overstaying their Visa, etc. From any location. By not immigrating using official channels, these people are open and vulnerable to being prey. Picking lettuce for two bucks an hour, indentured servitude disguised as housekeeping or landscaping, dangerous hazardous conditions that nobody should be exposed to in this country.

Long as this behavior continues, nothing will change. The fear of deportation will always silence fear and concerns about conditions and wages. That is what needs change. Trump won't do it. Just like Mexico won't stop making products for Trump either. Money always wins out
