Re: “The Skinny

Guido, what exactly can you tell us about Gary Watson's voting record?

Re: “The Skinny

Gary Watson seems like a good guy but his voting record is a concern. Being causal about your responsibilities as a citizen is a big part of the problem in this country and ought to disqualify you from consideration for leadership.

As I have said a thousand times, run the best candidate and your candidate can win. Anyone remember Lew Murphy?

As a child I spent countless vacations and weekends with Michael Hard and family in Rocky Point, Flagstaff, Tucson and Phoenix. Michael Hard is a funny, smart and incredibly caring man. His accomplishments in life are abundant, including his terrific family. However, his biggest feat may have been excusing and reversing my innumerable overdraft charges at the Valley Bank while I was an undergrad at the U of A. :)

Indeed, you are very lucky to be a part of the Hard family and to have him as your father in law.

Re: “The Skinny

What a joy it was to grow up with Mike as my older brother! While Mike and brother Fred were close in age, I came along later in '43 and was nurtured and stood up for by my hero, Mike, who played baseball with me by rounding the bases on his knees to "make it fair". I watched him play football at Pomfret and tried valiently but unsuccessfully to live up the school legend that was Mike Hard.
We both owe the entirety of our life credo to our father Fred Hard, Sr.. As upstanding and hard-working a man ever was, Dad was a legend in the sailing world as much as the most respected of Wall St. traders. His nickname among fellow Exchange members and friends was "Honest".
Nary a day goes by that I don't find myself asking him subconsciously if I'm using the right tool, making the right business decision, tying the right knot, or cobbling together a mechanical device.
His sense of humor was unique, to say the least; one day while heading home in a fog from Fire Island he remarked, "Oh..I know where we are now...I recognize that wave".
Happy Father's Day, "Honest"

I remember Mike Hard from my years working at VNB! As my sister, Maryann Adams, and I have said: Mike is an all around good guy! He was fair, kind and always shared his work ethics of being the best person you can be. I'm proud to have worked with him.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/comey-confirms-telling-trump-he-was-not-under-investigation/article/2625241

Looks like he did just that. he also told the Senate IC that Lynch pressured him to downplay Hillary's computer problems that allowed Russians to hack the DNC and the DCCC. Why?

Re: “The Skinny

VICTOR E -
You are delusional if you think that anything said by Comey proved that 45 was not involved in collusion with Russia. When asked that question, Comey referred the Senate Intelligence Committee to Special Counsel Mueller. In no way did he say that 45 was innocent, nor did he say that 45 was not under investigation. 45's attorney was lying through his teeth when he claimed that Comey's testimony vindicated 45; it definitely did not.

"Let's pass this fuckin' thing!" McSally blaming Trump is like Roy Cohn blaming Joe McCarthy.

She's voting to gut Dodd Frank and dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau because both stop banks from ripping off consumers.

Wells Fargo case, those new wire transfer protections, rules banning auto lenders from tapping into military pay...all from CFPB.

Re: “The Skinny

Uh patty? What about OBAMA'S PRESIDENCY WAS OVER do you not understand? Why did he leave office? He had no choice. You think whiners like McSally would have let him stay? No they wanted Trump. Well now they have him. I dont know what news source you read, but my news source is the United States Constitution. I also know for a fact that even though his presidency is up. He didnt just walk away and leave us to Trumps crap. He protected us in a few ways that Trump cannot alter. Obama has gone above and beyond for his country and every one of us. So before condemning please make sure your argument is valid. You sound just like McSally. If Obamas aca that made sure everyone had healthcare and no ins. could raise or deny coverage for preexisting conditions or the part where your employer had to cover your ins. Messed your medical up, Then, wow are you going to be in a heck of a lot of trouble if Trumps Deathmed goes thru.Obama care needs tweaking. Thats to be expected, changes occur, somethings become obsolete. The answer is not repeal or to replace Obamacare but to adjust where any deficiencies occur. The only reason for Trumps Deathmed is because Trump is blind with jealousy for Obama and he is trying to undue all of the protections Obama gave us and also to give corporations their outrageous tax cuts. Republicans are pushing it for the same reason.Money, money, money, and McSally is just as guilty as all the other republicans that are to greedy to stand against him.

Re: “The Skinny

Martha McSally continues her denial about her own lack of responsiveness to her own constituents. I live in her district and I didn't even find out about her hastily assembled "tele-town Hall" a few months ago because the notice seemed to only go out to Republican constituents.

When I called in she touted the then party-line that "the protesters were paid." Having marched outside her office on many days, I can attest to the fact that no one I know of the hundreds of protesters were paid.

What hurts McSally much more than being tied to Trump is that she appears to hold her constituents in contempt. She only makes pro forma efforts to reach out under duress, and then behind what she thinks are closed doors she trivializes our concerns.

In 2018 we of what is currently known as "Martha McSallly's district" intend to elect someone who represents us and does not demean us. McSally could be that person, but she's got to start being responsive to our constituents. To date, she has shown no interest in doing so.

Sadly, Frank Mansell, I've listened to the tape and your supposed good looks don't get a mention. Here's the full recording for anyone else who'd like to give it a listen: http://www.indivisiblesaz.org/multimedia/

Re: “The Skinny

There is a very simple solution for Republicans worried that Trump will cost them their seats: Stop being horrible.

You know better than to support him and the absurd policies this administration and its willing lapdog GOP Congress put forward. Even if you don't have the moral sense to know better, basic facts should help you make the right decision. This is not rocket science. A healthcare bill with an 18% approval rating should not even be a hard call for you people, so why is it? Repealing the law that sought to prevent Wall Street from decimating people's retirement accounts? Probably not a great message to send to voters who got stung by the 2008 Wall Street collapse and bailout while bankers got away scot-free and with more money.* Infrastructure bill that focuses on shoveling dollars to cronies rather than fixing our infrastructure and creating jobs? The public is not quite as stupid as you think they are. So grow a pair and try representing the actual people of your districts rather than your wealthy donors for once. Promise this will work!

*Reported in Forbes this week--the bonus pool for Wall Street execs exceeds the total earnings of minimum wage workers across the country. And you wonder why people are angry at you guys--both parties?

You can always spot the religious wacko shills when they start talking about Iran getting money. Take your bronze age fairy tales elsewhere.

Re: “The Skinny

Ms. McSally, what is "being taken out on you" is in fact your own voting record - which happens to be 100% in line with the president's agenda. Personally, I am opposed to everything he stands for and I will use my constitutional right to call, write and show up at your office - which is actually MY office and that of the 700,000 constituents that live in your district.
You work for US and we will hold those feet to the fire every time we see something we don't like.

Re: “The Skinny

There is a common thread on this rag to advise people to "stop watching Fox News," which I find ridiculous. In case you hadn't noticed, just yesterday, the New York Times, NBC, ABC, MSNBC and CNN had to apologize for misleading the American people on collusion between the current President and Russia regarding the 2016 election. It appears that none of it was true. The only one that hadn't reported it? Fox News.

What facts have you withheld?
