Re: “Not Going Anywhere

"America is a country of immigrants, and the tremendous contributions DACA recipients and their parents have made through their sweat equity gives them a right to be in the U.S., Cowan said from her downtown office of the Pima County Public Defender"
America is not about equity it's about equality everyone gets a shot at life but the chips lay where they fall they made the choice to come here illegally or overstay visas the consiquences of those actions are 100 of their own doing again equality > equity

Re: “Suffering The Blues

I love these people that "don't understand" their insurance until after they get in a wreck. With our proximity to Mexico you always need the Uninsured and Underinsured coverage. And my insurance company required a signature on a state mandated form as far back as the 1980s. She might want to check her story.

I would agree that TPD should investigate and cite the driver for leaving the scene. If she had plate number she could also turn it over to the enforcement side of Motor Vehicle. They should give her the name and insurance company of the vehicle's owner.

But once again government entities do not work together. It appears that they do not exist to serve the public.

Why is that?

Re: “Suffering The Blues

The Tucson police department are a bunch of low IQ-lying, slanderous, cowardly, hired stooge; subhuman scumbags that only protect and serve themselves. And the city of Tucson is an incompetent embarrassment.

Re: “An Annotated Guide to the Meet Rack, As Told (Mostly) By "God"

Thought a newspaper person would know the difference between stockade, stocks, and pillory.
Stockade
Fortification. a defensive barrier consisting of strong posts or timbers fixed upright in the ground
Stocks
boards are placed around the ankles with the victim made to set in a public place usally barefoot.
Pillory
what you see at the Meat Rack

Re: “.Nomads of a Desert City.

I knew Byrdy in Albuquerque NM back in 1998-99 when Donna Rowe was running Youth In Transition. I am currently homeless and much older than Byrdy. I wish her the best and hope she finds her way. I am currently in 12 step recovery, got Two Bachelor degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology [to work with YIT before Donna Rowe ("Momma Donna") passed away]. To Byrdy, I would say, remember the good, forgive the bad, and pass on the love Donna gave us all...that is the path laid out before persons like us.

Re: “Sex Language

I have always been offended by the way our culture turns sex into violent and disgusting terms like fuck and eat pussy. Fuck would be OK, if it weren't used 99% of the time to mean something violent or hateful you might say in a moment of road rage. Eat pussy is disgusting. I much prefer sucking cunt. Cunt would also be a perfectly good word, the equivalent of cock, nothing to be ashamed of, maybe even something you would use proudly, provocatively, like men use the word cock. I'll never forget the instant hardon I got at age 20 when my girlfriend asked if I would like to suck her cunt. I confess it was also too much for my virgin mouth, and I didn't take up her offer. It has taken many years, and quite a few bold women, to help me overcome my male programming. I wish more women would take back the word cunt, and not let our misogynistic male culture ruin it.

Re: “The Battle at Home

Great article, I wrote a similar one on my blog at http://john-nevarez.blogspot.com/

Re: “The Battle at Home

The LORD helped me a great deal. But some Veterans think that they don't need The LORD. So what can they do? Well, they can hide their _____ ,take medication (which kills). They can get help (therapy), but these are Veterans; they " Never Accept Defeat."

So you have: a hard head Vet, that's independent (without GOD), hides their true feelings, takes medication (which HURTS them internally, mentally,(some) financially and physically), WILL not ask for help. (therapy says "whatever you suffer from, for you; IT will have to get worse before IT gets better"),

What do you do? how can you get OUR WARRIORS to ask for help. Most just ignore and drink it all away.

Well, that's where I said "NO MORE FOR ME"- Pedro H.

I called the hotline that helped me (asked for help), I almost have a minor in PSY from the UA ("I will never quit"-I am fighting from all sides ,PTSD will not win ), I go to all the therapy the VA and Military want to put me in (continue therapy).

BUT the only medication I'm on is Cannabis (long story, short- I had a soldier with identical diagnoses as I had after our Deployment, he died in the barracks from the mixing of the medications I had to take, but didn't)

Like I said in the beginning, The LORD protected me while in FOB Loyalty, and helps me fight the 'demons' and allows me to medicate with a plant from the earth, WITH THE SIDE EFFECT of the munchies!

The 420 Social Club is my VFW, but rather than swapping stories while drinking, I swap stories while passing. LOVE YOU ALL,

GOD BLESS TUCSON WEEKLY, NICK MEYERS, 420 SOCIAL CLUB, and YOU Tucson (my Hometown)
PS. Want to swap stories or hear some more, come on down the CLUB is on 4th ave, see you there!

Re: “The Battle at Home

So getting high is the answer to PTSD? I doubt if there is any real evidence that THC if effective treatment for PTSD however, now that marijuana is big business I am sure that it will be pushed to the public as a panacea for whatever ails you.

Re: “When Everything You Care About is Gone

As usual, you are correct Peabo.

Norm Peterson and I certainly did stink up this place. After some soul searching and accepting actual reality instead of my own self made reality, I have come to terms with this fact.

Because of this, I want to extend my sincerest apologies to Anne. All she did was post a heartfelt comment on how this article brought a little sunshine to her day. I read this and I couldn't resist adding some rain to that afternoon forecast. I tend to do obnoxious things like this when I include a few gin and tonics with my lunch. I'm just glad that I didn't come across this post during one of my nights with the other ladies from the Bingo Club after attending a Wild Boyz show! Between all of the alcohol I consume and the hundreds of dollars I stuff in those beefcake filled Speedos, the Troll inside me is REALLY awakened at that point.

To recap: Anne, I am truly sorry for raining on your parade. It was a terrible thing to do and I truly feel awful for doing it.

Peabo, I will also extend an apology to you for the behavior which Sam Malone and I exhibited here. It was childish and demeaning to anyone that actually took the time to read it.

I am truly ashamed for my behavior. Please forgive me.

Re: “When Everything You Care About is Gone

I don't want or need an apology from you. You should apologize to Anne, who made a kind, gracious comment on an article that moved her, only to have you and some moron calling himself Cliff Claven stink up the place. Does that make you feel superior?

Re: “When Everything You Care About is Gone

You really can't help yourself can you? Personal attacks are not acceptable per the comment guidelines , yet you continue to dish them out. My apology was to the others that had to endure your bitter ranting. I still have nothing to apologize to you for. You attacked me. But you are not going to push this lady around anymore.

Re: “When Everything You Care About is Gone

Apology accepted, Debra. Perhaps you'll think twice the next time you get the urge to don a halo and offer up any more pearls of wisdom. Do you really think of yourself as kind?
And Vince, I stand corrected, thirty lashes for me for misspelling Jonathan. Enjoy your bender. You're ushering in this brave new world in style.

My apologies for starting this. I just never thought somebody like Mr Peabo would make a personal attack on me. The Weekly used to have kind people posting kind things. They sure are changing.

Re: “When Everything You Care About is Gone

Goons Peabo?
That's a bit harsh. I think that the real goons are in the street hurting cops and damaging property.
My hands aren't "widdle" so I can't go around punching anyone.
As for happy, hell yes I'm happy. Been drunk since Tuesday night. I just trying not to rub it in too much. Who knows if promises will be kept anyway. I still remember 08 and 2012
quite vividly. I hated the smug, merciless lefties at work who rubbed it in for days. See how I am practicing "civility"? As for comedy, watching all of the TV pundits with their crybaby analysis and
condescending opinions gave me a years worth of belly laughs. They really should get over themselves. They blew it. Fire them like Fox did with Dick Morris in 2012. By the way, isn't Jonathon spelled Jonathan? Just checking. Wouldn't want you to get a
C- grade.

Don't pull a muscle patting yourself on the back. That C- was generous. You're no Jonathon Swift. But enjoy the thumbs up. Got to get your thrills where you can.

Re: “When Everything You Care About is Gone

Sorry Peabo but it seems that fooling the left is not only funny, but easier than I thought. Just look at the thumbs up I got from my first post. And the media said the uneducated voted for Trump. Uh, 'fraid not.

And M.T.? C-
If you goons are going to run things, you better get your comedy chops down better than the weak tea you're serving up.
