Re: “Caffe Torino (Foothills)

Racist, sexist, abusive owner tells musicians to yell at black people for not tipping. Open use of the N word. Constant judging of women as sexual objects and over pouring to take advantage. Owner and several members of staff are convicted felons. Abusive, entitled customers the racist owner has groomed for years. This is the most toxic environment in the Tucsion restaurant community.

Re: “El Rio Congress Clinic

Took my both my kids to get there yearly check up with Doc Adams. The time we got in the exam room . They had them put paper robes on and they said they had 1 patient ahead. My kids waited a hour in the room freezing without being seen. Kids got the clothes back on and we left. Very poor place to take children. Something needs to be done there

Re: “KVOI 1030 AM Radio Station

Today May 20, 2019 I listened to three of KVOI 1030 AM programs through out the day. The first one was informative in a negative way. The second one used a lot of educated words, terms, phrases, and said absolutely nothing. The third program kept leading you in one direction then the other making you think there was some great knowledge was to be learned from what they were describing , That was false. When the whole subject changed to a totally different subject. What a confusing , unintelligent , and, a confusing waste of time to listen to KVOI 1030 AM Radio.

WARNING: a woman named Joan has been allowing her dog Octavian to attack people and dogs until they leave. Extremely dangerous dog park in the morning if she is around. Please call law enforcement if her dog attacks yours. She won't pull him off so you may need pepper spray.

Re: “Estevan Park

Why is this park allowed to remain open when it's clearly a threat to public safety with all the vagrants and drug addicts that live here? Definitely not a place to take the family.

Re: “Che's Lounge

On Saturday night, 01/27/18, I asked the bartender/manager for four glasses of water - two for the band members and two for me. For some reason, he bartender seemed disgusted by my request and he gave me two waters instead of four. I went ahead and gave the band members their waters and came back for mine only to discover that the manager had walked away to help someone else. So, I called over another bartender and told him I'd give him $5 for the two waters I wanted. The manager came over to see what was going on and when he discovered what I was doing, he threw both waters into the sink, took my $5, and tossed me out of the club with a nice f-you. Real nice guy and a superb businessman that manager. This is merely the beginning of my reporting of him and Che's where I just so happen to be a regular. You suck, pal.

Re: “Southwest University of Visual Arts Galleries

HORRID place to work. The turnover rate there for staff is really high. Sharon Woods' own family members couldn't stand working with her. By far the worst job and the worst boss I have ever had. Students graduate with astronomical student loans from SUVA and many end up working jobs that pay 11 dollars an hour in fields unrelated to their majors. Avoid.

Re: “Martin's Comida Chingona

The owner consistently harasses not only pedestrians but his very own employees and customers.

Re: “Mi Nidito

The most overrated Mexican restaurant in town. Living on its publicity from Clinton's visit decades ago. Long waits, poor service, commercial grade food. One reviewer says "authentic Tucson style Mexican food." What a joke. Well, it's Tucson style if you like Circle K style food. There is nothing remotely authentic Mexican about the stuff Mi Nidito serves, unless you are addicted to orange cheese and shredded lettuce on top of everything.

Re: “Kimchi Time

Food was good, not great, a little overpriced. My biggest complaint is that they tried to charge me an extra 50 cents on my bill, I asked them what this was for, and the waitress said it was a charge for the use of a credit or debit card. The problem was, i hadn't given them my card yet, i hadn't chosen my method of payment yet, but it was just on the bill. So, had I happened to pay cash, they would have still charged me that extra 50 cents. 50 cents is not much money, but i consider what they did an unscrupulous, shady and under-handed business practice; one that I will remember and as a result, will never go to this place again. The waitress also tried to charge me extra for the spicy vegetable side dishes, something that never happens at any of the other Korean restaurants I've ever been to.

Whoever owns the place must be incredibly stingy, petty and cheap, I would hate to be an employee there.

Re: “Saffron Indian Bistro

My husband and I have been watching Kitchen Nightmares recently and I felt it was our responsibility to let the public know about this place.

He worked there for a few weeks a couple years ago. He quit because he said the place was filthy. He previously worked at Olive Garden for 3 years which has is immaculate I might add. He ended going back to Olive Garden.

When they were showing him around they went inside the walkin in cooler. On the floor was a bin...like a Sterilite bin. Inside this bin was their main sauce that they use. It was not covered at all, just sitting on the floor open to let stuff fly in it. They told him to step over so they could show him stuff. He lost balance while doing so (those things are pretty large) and his foot went in the sauce. He immediately apologized and they were like "Don't worry about it" and continued to use it. His nasty dirty shoe WENT IN THE SAUCE and they STILL USED IT!!!! EW. He also said the kitchen was disgusting. He actually took it upon himself and tried to clean it.

He and the other line cooks would smoke in the walk in cooler. The managers/owners did know about this because he said one time they walked in when they were smoking. The guy was like "Hurry up" He also said they would sometimes join.

Before I even met my husband and knew about this place, many of my friends had gotten food poisoning from this place as well.

I beg of you, please please do not go to this restaurant. I've never eaten there myself and now I never will.

Re: “Sticks 'n Strings Music Center

Save yourself the hassle...BEWARE! I paid upfront for acoustic guitar pickups because the owner told me he was on the phone ordering at the time I was in the store, and could get me a really good price. I paid more than $200 up front, two years later now, no pickups. He also sold a consignment instrument of mine and kept the money. Believe it or not, there is more...suffice to say...BEWARE!

Re: “Little Café Poca Cosa

Will never patronize this restaurant ever again!. They wouldn't accept a $100 gift certificate. We received it as a gift from some grateful friends, but management wouldn't honor it. WHY NOT? It's equivalent to us having paid for our meal in advance. Definitely not a sound business approach for endearing themselves to their customers.

Re: “Margarita Bay

I just wanna start off saying, I love the bay. I love going their and singing my heart out when I can... It's my neighborhood bar, and I go there as often as I can. That being said, lemme tell you all about my experience tonight.

First off, I'd like to start by saying that the regular bartenders and karaoke dj are very much biased to sexual orientation. This being a bar, I would normally understand. Except for tonight, when apparently a customer of the male persuasion, happened to see a female customer whom he had a restraining order against. Upon seeing said patron, the male customer did as the restraining order suggested, and called the police. Not my first reaction to an ex, as I would have just left, but nonetheless still his reaction. Anyway, the cops showed up...

Now let me make it clear, I DO NOT KNOW EITHER PARTY INVOLVED. I just happened to be standing at the rear gate when 3 tpd officers arrived. They then had a short conversation with the owner Dennis, whom also, I had never met. They asked him directly if he knew what was going on. To which he replied, no, then he admitted that he did have knowledge of a restraining order issue that was being handled. At that point, one of his waitresses, said that yes, she was hiding in the bathroom, and she was leaving. I, having nothing to do with either party just sat there, enjoying my drink and the night.

Later, when I happened outside again, I saw the bartender ( an older lady with a puffed up hair do and bad makeup) and the karaoke dj argueing with the male patrons friends on why he had to leave, did I mention that I had been there when tpd had said that the girl had to leave. That they wouldn't be charging the male and also letting him go back into the bar. Suddenly, I was an issue too. I told them that I didn't want any trouble, but rather that I was just stating the truth. I truly was just telling the truth, not thinking anything else about it.

I then went back inside to check on my song selection, considering that it had been over 2 hours since my last song, only to be told that because I had the audacity to tell the truth, I was done singing for the rest of the night. When I asked why, I was told that "it was because I couldn't shut my mouth". I then stated that I had only told the truth, and that I didn't wanna start shit, but that IS what the officer said. At that point the karaoke dj told me that I was cut off and was about to get kicked out. At that, I began questioning why. I can admit (mainly because I am NOT a liar, and I had had 2 and a half beers) that I did get upset, and I did raise my voice. I said "why would you kick me out for telling the truth? " and "that IS what the officer said" over and over. Suddenly someone said that I was starting shit with the dj. I told them that they were very wrong, but that I just didn't understand why I was being persecuted for telling the truth. At which point I was grabbed by a customer and started to get escorted out by force. During my forced exit, I saw the dj talk to another patron, who then also got in my face saying that I had tried to hit said dj. He then proceeded to follow me out threatening me that if I ever came back there he would "kick my ass". Now, I can admit, that yes, at this point I went from upset to pissed off, and I also began to talk shit back. Telling the old man that I would love the chance to kick his ass back. Truthfully though the guy was so old that I was almost afraid that he might have had a heart attack in the parking lot... and no, of course, it wasn't Dennis the owner. Just some jackass friend of the dj not really knowing what was going on, but still their to defend his girl.

My point is, after all of that, obviously I wasn't drunk because I am writing this as I walk home. Obviously, the owner, Dennis, should have let the rest of the staff know what tpd said before leaving the premises . Obviously, I should not have been persecuted for telling the truth. And obviously, I will never be back here. Which is a sad statement, because I truly did enjoy the place until now. I will also be letting every single person I know, and come into contact with, know what happened to me here. On every single site, and blog I can find. Plus, because I personally know of many times they have served to people they shouldn't, and over poured to regulars. And because I live directly across the street, I will be calling the police every time I see anything that looks like it could be fucked up until I get them closed down... I promise.

Re: “Little Anthony's Diner

This place sucks. Horrible service, poor food. They give hamburgers cutesy 50's names and charge 8 bucks for a basic fast food ho-hum burger that's nothing special. Our waitress forgot about us for 40 minutes after we ordered and brought us cold food, I complained to the manager the next day and never heard back. Avoid this place
