Re: “Come to an Adios

Yo soy triste! Me gusta mucho las palabras and the wisdom of 'El Mexicano', as it applies to the contentious issues which divide this nation and THIS community

'El Mexicano' is RIGHT cuando el dice "The Mexicans are here to stay". To which I add "they've always BEEN here, longer than we Gringos, and in MY house tortillas and beans were ALWAYS more American than apple pie!"

He is WRONG if he thinks that the solution to our mutual cultural problems is continued Open Borders and continued illegal entry of impoverished Mexican citizens who are then subjected to political and economic exploitation. (aka what Ive called Open Border Policy since 2004)

In The Grapes of Wrath, the socialist John Steinbeck taught us an undeniable lesson but a lesson long forgotten by Americas Left Wing, to wit:

Excess labor ALWAYS leads to lower wages and ultimate misery for the working man!

The Right Wing NEVER forgot this lesson which, since Reagan's 1987 Amnesty, is actually the driving force behind continued Open Border Policy and the industrial strength importation of impoverished Mexican citizens.

Now that Ive actually seen what this self-identified nerd looks like, I will seek him out, grab him up and say:

"Lets drink some cerveza . Then lets go after those PENDEJOS who have STOLEN your name!"

And AMIGO, I, the 'NOTORIOUS MEXICAN FLAG BURNER', know just HOW to do it!

Re: “Come to an Adios

I will miss your insight and humor. It is always good to see the view from both sides of the river. Are you a samurai dreaming you are a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming you are a samurai? Or, in this case, are you a gringo dreaming you are
are a Mexican or a Mexican dreaming you are taking a siesta? bios con dios.

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

NOT for the FIRST time, but..... I agree with everything "El Mexicano" said about Senor Flores!

Now, for the important stuff: When making chile and beans I use pinto, black and red beans and six large jalapenos, cut into pieces, with ALL the seeds in with the beans and chile pieces.

Alejandro tortillas seem to be the best "supermarket" tortillas I can find.

Any preguntas?

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

An EXCELLENT example of "Identity Politics" group think, dividing Americans and pitting then against each other on the basis of race or ethnicity.

Can YOU recognize the INHERENT RACISM of such ideology? I can!

Can you reconcile this ideology with Dr. King's admonition to judge each other "on the content of our character and not on the color of our skin?: I can't!

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

Fuck you ROY Warden!... Funny how CNN and all the supposedly "Liberal" news media conveniently omit how NAFTA fucked over millions of Mexican families since it was passed into law in 1994. Where's all the "outrage" over this injustice and why is it always left out of the immigration debate when gabachos like you bitch about the "problem" of "illegals" which any half wit knows is code for "Mexicans". Oh, and by the way, when it comes to making a choice between going to El Norte "illegally" to find a job to feed your family or staying in MEXICO and starving is the very DEFINITION of a "life or death" decision, ok?

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

The problem with "The Mexican" is his inability to separate his Left Wing bias from his (presumed) nationality.

His he a "Mexican" (born in Mexico) and a citizen of Mexico? If so he represents a minority viewpoint.

Is he an "American" born in America who believes he is a "Chicano"? If so he is simply a "left winger," as the majority of Americans of Hispanic descent (and former Mexican citizens who immigrated HERE lawfully) do NOT share his "open borders" viewpoint.

As for land: what WAS formerly Mexico, is NOW America, paid for with blood and treasure. ALL land in EVERY country around the world was at one time paid for with blood and treasure.

Get used to it, Chico!

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

If the U.S. took half of Mexico then the U.S. took half of France in the Louisiana Purchase. The Mexican Cession was primarily unoccupied country (neither Mexico nor the U.S. ever counted Native Americans) with arbitrary lines drawn back in Europe based on a few Spaniards on horses riding through the area years earlier and some treaties made with Spain. Santa Anna gladly handed it over for some quick money to save his butt. Mexico couldn't control that region and had very little population there and, quite likely, if the U.S. hadn't taken it, someone else would have or it would've seceded from Mexico anyway. It was a semi-autonomous region with constant revolts and mixed populations.
Besides, Mexico stole it from Spain 25 years earlier (who stole it from the Apaches, Navajos, Hopis, Utes, Pasquas, etc.). Not saying the war was right, far from it, but let's not make up a simplistic and misleading history in order to create some vast grievance that justifies illegal immigration all the while pretending to be teaching stupid Americans their true history.
And Mexicans were forced North like the Irish? I must've missed the news of the famine and the U.N. airlifts of rice and flour. Comparing it to the potato famine is hyperbole.
Migrants came north not due to famine, but because of a population surge prior to widespread use of birth control, economic disruptions and lack of opportunity (partly based on policies their own government set), and better money was available in the U.S. These are the same reasons most immigrants came here. But you make it sound like the big bad U.S. forced them into NAFTA and it was a choice between death and immigration. This is over-simplification to advance an agenda.
Not saying anything for or against Mexican immigrants, or minimizing all of the crap Mexico and Mexicans have put up with from the U.S. and Americans over the years, but if you twist and over-simplify history with the transparent goal of creating a special right for Mexicans to immigrate to the U.S., you lose all credibility.

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

A dual citizen Mexican woman confided to me very recently that Mexicans LAUGH at gringos and the unidas estatos -- giving away the country, easy welfare, easy money etc. and going broke! She goes to Mexico often and they laugh and joke about how stupid the US is.! And she also said: And whose fault is that? It's YOUR FAULT tu muy estupido gringo! You have to admit-- she's right. It's OUR OWN FAULT for allowing liberals to turn the country into the worlds most exploited prostitute!

Re: “Ask a Mexican!

99.999 percent of all illegals are Mexican. If you lived in Mexico illegally you would be in prison for life. Let's do it here. Boycott Mexican products in this country and stop going to Mexico until Mexico pays us back billions of dollars not pesos.
