Re: “Police Dispatch

Dear Ana,

please follow this story thru it's conclusion. It would be interesting to see how the university justice system decides what to do with a student who seems to have had a bad few days, got dumped, did some stupid inappropriate things, and ripped up some
name tags and labels. Expulsion? Jail? keep us informed

Re: “Police Dispatch

What a waste of time and manpower. Detectives? The librarian needs to grow up, but then so do the perps. The library is an inappropriate place for the conduct, but calling the cops is silly overkill. She could have just said "please take your activity elsewhere" and let it go. Cops don't need to be involved, and then detectives? I am sure the detective is rolling his or her eyes.

Re: “Police Dispatch

If it's true that paramedics refused to treat the man, this is appalling. It is obvious from the description that the man had taken something that was causing him altered mental status. This man belonged in the hospital, not the jail. Excited delirium can kill. It can also be treated.

I hope there is more to this story than reported. If not, then there needs to be some serious retraining at both the police department and the EMS service.

This sort of incident breeds lawsuits. If the risk managers don't catch this, something even worse is wrong.

Re: “Police Dispatch

We need to put more effort to take care of the mentally challenged people among us. We also need to see if such things as the chemically infused processed food we eat contributes to this. Or is it
some other aspect of our society..

Re: “Police Dispatch

What a bullshit story.

This kid obviously has some serious mental health issues, but all you care about is making him look like some type of drug addict.

FYI, cannabis is safer than alcohol. How many dumb kids are going to be boozing for tailgate this weekend?

Re: “Police Dispatch

Snowflakes are falling all over our sanctuary city, where nobody is accountable for their actions. There will be hell to pay.

Re: “Police Dispatch

As a matter of fact the Dean of Students didnt even require an apology from the student and deemed that the student wouldnt require any sanctions at all. Extremely distressing to all faculty and opens the door for additional faculty abuse. The Dean of Students lack of response is more disturbing than the inconsiderate student.

Re: “Police Dispatch

As a UA professor, I find this report very disturbing. I assume that no crime was committed, so the correct response was to refer it to the Dean of Students - I sincerely hope that the Dean of Students took this issue seriously and that this student will no longer be attending UA. What this student did was NOT okay on any level. Wow.

Re: “Police Dispatch

I fail to see the relevance of this continuing dispatch business. OK, a guy got drunk and acted out, in today's environment I am certain the U of A will deal with the 2nd woman not feeling safe and kick him out. This innocuous
reporting serves who? and for the purpose of?

Re: “Police Dispatch

This guy probably should have been checked out by EMS. Maybe he was falling asleep because his blood sugar was too low. Or maybe he was septic and in shock. Not being there hampers one's ability to evaluate, and maybe EMS was called, but if I was a prudent and reasonable cop, I would want this guy evaluated by medical before I released him to go with an acquaintance of unknown knowledge and understanding of medical things. I say this as a paramedic for 38 years.

Re: “Police Dispatch

It sounds to me as if this man was on a sleeping medication. Those medications are very dangerous - people have woken up to find themselves cooking, driving and more all while they are sound asleep.

Seriously? An average cost of $67 per shirt... Who shops in these places and believes they are getting a bargain? No, wait. I think I know...
