Re: “Hack the Vote

And easier access would be great with shorter lines. This is why I vote from home. Can call from home and be sure Im registered, ask when the ballot will arrive, I have a paper ballot trail and I can vote from home, with my feet up. I highly recommend it.

Re: “Hack the Vote

Yes, agreed. There seems to be no action to encourage voting from home with paper ballot and its so easy. Plus, Ive not heard anything from Sinema since after her campaign. I hope shes just busy. Im voting blue pretty much, no matter what. I will be voting from home which allows me to research the candidates, if there are any I am unfamiliar with, a more obscure position.

Re: “Hack the Vote

Yeah, let's get after those nefarious foreigners threatening our freedoms and right to vote.

Pay no attention to those voter identification laws, gerrymandered districts, purged voter rolls, limited polling places and restricted voting hours in certain areas, or those scary people hanging around just outside the polling place boundaries monitoring the people voting and polishing the gunracks in the back window of their pickup trucks.

It's those foreigners trying to keep "real 'mericans" from voting.

Pictured ID at the polls. 48 hours to vote. Problem solved.

Re: “Hack the Vote

"There is a clear need for the establishment of standards for machine penetration testing" - huh? Who will hold hackers to that standard. What's needed is paper audit trails and rigorous statistical analysis to detect anomalies that trigger paper audits.

Re: “Second Chance

The garbage police are coming for you. You were warned about this 25 years ago.

Re: “Second Chance

The problem is we have two groups in this community. Those very committed to recycling who will do the right thing, break down boxes, put only clean materials in recycling containers, etc. Then we have, basically lazy people. They just throw everything in whatever container is available or less full. I see kids in our area who are sent to take the trash out. Even if the household did separate correctly, they throw all the stuff in one container, maybe some gets in, then they run back to play video games.

Re: “Second Chance

Awesome that they're going to start enforcing for the folks that put garbage in their bin. Come on people!
It's also great that they are starting to move toward more sensible and economically efficient methods like composting paper.
And recycling glass is just pointless. It's literally sand. It takes up a ton of room and is worth nothing. Costs to transport offset any benefit of recycling it.

Re: “Second Chance

In a city with a budget of $1.56 Billion. We read handwringers about a $3 Million recycling deficit. This is less than 0.3% of the budget. Get a real story Nintzel. Oops, I forgot - The Weekly is not a real newspaper.
