Re: “The Skinny

A FM3 Aug. 3 poll has the CD2 Democratic primary at:
Heinz - 31%
Kirkpatrick - 26%
All others combined: 13%
Undecided - 29%

The poll was reported on the liberal website The Daily Kos.
Survey Methodology: From August 1-2, 2018, FM3 conducted a survey of 402 randomly-selected Arizona 2nd Congressional District voters likely to cast a ballot in the August Democratic primary election. Interviews were conducted via landline and cell/mobile telephone by live interviewers.

- I'm not buying how accurate it is, for one I think almost 1/3rd undecided just as the early mail ballots go out is too high, and only 13% for all others combined too low. But perhaps wishful thinking, I'm a Democrat and don't like either Kirkpatrick or Heinz, but I think Heinz ran such a poor campaign last time he'll likely lose again. I voted for Kovacs.

Re: “The Skinny

Ann Kirkpatrick should make up her mind where she wants to live; time to put down some roots.

If you want to ask that Democrat kid candidate questions about the allegation then i think he is having a Q&A this Sunday at Murphy Wilmot Public Library around 1:30. Im going and will ask the tough questions. At least now he has learned to always answer to his constituents!

Re: “The Skinny

My spouse is a Democrat and has received her early ballot. I am a Libertarian who has chosen to vote in the Republican primary. However, we discuss politics, and candidates.

She (and I) are so disgusted with the mud and the lies that Matt Heinz and Ann Kirkpatrick are throwing at each other on the airwaves, that she filled out her ballot with someone else.

My thoughts on Kirkpatrick are that she, in this campaign, has repudiated everything she has ever stood for (I used to respect her), and even if she wins the primary, I don't think she can veer back far enough to the center to win a general election.

What do you think he is an investigative reporter? They don't do that any more. They just cast stones.

Really!? Haven't you tried contacting him yourself, by getting the information to do so...by visiting his website? The stories people make up is ridiculous, and it's all for the sole purpose of numbers.

Hey Matt -- just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me!

But thanks, Chelo, for straightening it out.

Hey, AVL:

Your comment triggered our automatic filter, and was never posted to the public site or removed by one of our staffers. It was just sitting in the filter, waiting for review. I've posted your uncensored comment above.

Let me see if I understand the Weakly's policy: It's okay for a commenter to call me a "flying monkey" but I get censored for calling the editor a "bully." Maybe the difference is that one is obviously untrue, so that fits right in.

Re: “The Skinny

It seems my comments are being censored, but I'll try again, a "sanitized" version, sort of like the World View balloon explosion accident investigation report:

Jim Nintzel is a -----, pure and simple. To continue for a third week attacking Arizona Daily Independent editor Loretta Hunnicutt, whose husband died suddenly June 14, is --------, with some -------- thrown in. To attack Supervisor Ally Miller for providing the new widow with work two days a week so she can stay afloat, is to show a lack of --------. The supervisor and I don't agree on many things, but I congratulate her for her compassion.

The big question still remains -- which "county sources" manipulated Nintzel into attack mode in order to divert attention from the fact that the Arizona Daily Independent's stories got the World View hydrogen balloon accident investigation report -- the "sanitized" version, to use the words of the assistant county administrator -- finally released to the Board of Supervisors -- months after it was finished. Looks like the Weakly's editor is part and parcel of a -------, and is attacking a bereaved widow to ----- for his "county sources" . ----- on you, Jim Nintzel, ----- on you!

Re: “The Skinny

Because it is possible that my post of this morning was cancelled by my lack of technological skill and not cut because of censorship, I'll try again.

Jim Nintzel is a bully, pure and simple. To continue for a third week running attacking Arizona Daily Independent editor Loretta Hunnicutt, whose husband died suddenly June 14, is bullying, with some misogyny thrown in. To attack Supervisor Ally Miller for providing the new widow with work two days a week so she can stay afloat, is to show a lack of humanity.

Looks like the Weakly's editor is part and parcel of a coverup, and is attacking a bereaved widow to cover for his "county sources" masters. Shame on you, Jim Nintzel, shame on you!

Yuksel has also had his invitation revoked to speak to Democrats of Greater Tucson on July 23. They will be having a forum on sexual assault and "What Rape Culture means" instead.

Re: “The Skinny

Picking on Loretta Hunnicutt, whose husband died on June 14, for three weeks straight now is just plain misogynistic bullying. Shame on you, Jim Nintzel, and shame on those "county sources" who pull your strings in their hatred of Supervisor Miller. While the Supervisor and I will disagree on many things, I commend her for helping a bereaved widow during a difficult time. Shows more humanity than you and your puppet masters.
