Best Greek

Athens on 4th Avenue

500 N. Fourth Ave.

Founder and executive chef Andreas Delfakis' backstory alone is almost enough to make you want to try this place out (born in Greece during WWII, moved to Montreal after attending carpentry school, worked restaurants in L.A., Sacramento and Chicago, opened a construction company in Tucson and ultimately opened Athens on 4th Ave., all by the time he was 51). But when you consider that it was in City Magazine's top 100 restaurants in the entire country, or that he only uses top-of-the-line ingredients, the proof is in the pastitsio.
