Each year, the HoCo Fest lineup seems to expand a bit, bringing back some familiar acts and adding new ones. There is still one night of bands left to be announced, I think, but it’s generally safe to say that if you like the sort of music usually seen on Congress’ stage, you’ll probably want to just get a pass for the whole HoCo weekend. However, if you’re too cheap or lazy to go every night, try to make sure you’ll be there on September 4th. The lineup is incredible (Calexico! Devotchka! Sergio Mendoza! Richard Buckner! Jon Rauhouse!) but more importantly, the proceeds from the night go to help Craig Schumacher in his fight against cancer.
Seriously, clear your schedule now. Don’t be the jerk who scheduled a barbecue with your buddies the same night.

And if you arrive late and miss the opening act, not to worry. Most of the players are in the next band. Ditto for the band after that. Tucson musicians are an incestuous bunch. 🙂
