While fretting the demise of some restaurant it is important to consider two pieces in this week’s TW:
Schuster’s “Lee Report Paints an Uncertain Future” at:
http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Currents/Content?oid=oid:120509
and Boegle’s “On Business” at:
http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Opinion/Content?oid=oid:120502
Both TW oids are worthy of context and a starting point might be Michael Hirschorn’s “End Times” at:
http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200901/new-york-times
Where all the above leaves the “Utah man trapped in bathtub for 5 days” (http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/hourlyupdate/274949.php) but there can be little doubt that a Walgreens was within reach.
These. Are. Serious. Times.
Re Article: “The Tucson music community mourns the death of two under-the-radar greats”
I’m going to assume that it was only because of deadline requirements that you failed to note the passing of Sam Taylor on Monday, January 5th.
It is my understanding that there will be a memorial concert in Sam’s honor at the Boondocks this Saturday.
That article was turned in days before Sam Taylor’s passing. Sam was, however, mentioned in Soundbites.
