Today is University of Arizona day on ESPN. You’ve got the football team playing in the New Mexico Bowl right now, and the unbeaten and eighth-ranked Wildcat basketball team squaring off with No. 5 Florida at 8 p.m.

There will also be plenty of airings of various UA-themed commercials — they’ve already shown the one involving recently booted-out-of-town Arizona Stadium sideline reporter Piper Stoekel twice — as those watching worldwide get inundated with all things Bear Down-ish.

Including, apparently, a fight involving UA football players. On the sideline. Caught by ESPN.

And, of course, turned into an animated GIF.

Enjoy…

  1. Leave it to you guys at your pseudo website to focus on the one, single, unusual, negative thing about the game. You simply do not like football, and don’t give a rap about Arizona football. But we already knew that.

  2. Ernie: We don’t, as you might notice, regularly cover Arizona football (seriously, if this town is covered on anything news-wise, it’s Arizona athletics), but as a curator of interesting things relating to Tucson, this definitely counts. But, hey, thanks for the visit! Come back soon!
