I am sorry he is ill but my husband made a big sacrifice for me and my daughter to travel here to see him, rent a room, meals, time off from work etc…I have been a fan since the beginning of his career and seeing him was on my bucket list, wow don’t know what to do because I can’t take another day off, can’t afford it and pay another night of hotel. I have had stomache issues all day too but was still going to go..I am so sad and disappointed on how easy it was for him to say “Tomorrow” not thinking how it would effect those of us that made major sacrifices to be here TODAY! What if he changes his mind yet again tomorrow, don’t want to risK losing more $$$$, since he doesn’t need it what would it matter huh?
I feel so bad for my mother, forever she has wanted to see him, she was in tears when she called me right now, she thinks its just her bad luck! HOW CAN HE JUST DO THAT, I thought he cared about his fans!! (Reference to above comment)
You people need to take a chill pill before you post things like the above. Elton is ILL. He could have cancelled the whole thing, but he will perform tomorrow. You ought to be concerned about him rather than giving him grief. Sometimes the show can’t go on.
elton is a soldier when it comes to doing shows.. his work ethic is amazing, and works harder than anyone else I know in my 30 years in the biz, and if he cancels a show, he is REALLY sick, and absolutely cannot play.
Robert Plant gave a shout out to Elton at the end of his show at AVA this evening. What a class act! And a dynamite show!
I agree with the above poster. Elton was not only sick, he looked sick as well. I was in the 3rd. row center right in front of the piano and the man is a trooper. He engaged his audience from the 1st. to the very last song. he even left the stage after 17 songs due to not feeling well and came back in 15 minutes and finished the set with an additional 9 songs. Mariana, you are a moron.
Just saw the comment calling me a moron, seems the moron is you for calling me that. I am a loyal fan and did wait to see him. You have no idea why I posted my comment and the sacrifice that went into my will to see him, you have no right to judge me as you don’t even know me. People like you obiously don’t look it the big picture or think about a person’s feelings. I may never have the chnace to see him again and don’t need to explain any further. So you can go where you probably will go someday and that is HELL!
Mariana if it was that much of a financial drain and imposition on you and your husband perhaps you shouldn’t have planned it to begin with. If a postponed concert for one day has you cursing people to hell then you have your priorities out of whack.
Also, as a loyal fan of Elton’s you should take your own advice and “look it the big picture or think about a person’s feelings” namely Elton’s.
Bullseye another comment that is totally unnecessary from you too, the person that called me a moron should not get away with calling someone that if they don’t know the story, he obiously lives in Tucson and did not have to stay over. I live too far away to have traveled back for the event. I love Elton as much as any of you but being quite ill myself certainly doesn’t justify you and everyone else calling me a moron, yes I should not have cursed anyone to hell but you don’t know or will know my reasons. I have the right like you do to post my opinions and don’t need your critique on top of my feelings. My priorities are not out of whack your comments however are because you don’t know the facts.
OK, everyone, let’s stop the personal attacks. The concert was delayed a day. Then it happened. And this was almost a week ago. Let’s move along. Thank you.
