The first ad from the Ron Barber camp, which starts running on local television today, does a decent job of separating the Democratic candidate’s positions from those of his opponent, plus fills in some of Barber’s back-story that voters might not be aware of, but if you want to start some sort of campaign ad drinking game, take a swig of your beverage of choice whenever you seen a candidate sitting at a couple’s dining room table. It’s a little bit of a tired trope at this point, albeit probably one that gets the “I care about people” idea across.

Wow he sounds like a Republican.
I do not think this ad does any of things Dan Gibson said.
These may be the least qualified people I’ve ever seen running to complete a term in a District that soon won’t exist. It’s like a Monty Python sketch.
I don’t know what to think.
I am, however, in favor of dining room tables. And dinner.
You can’t say too much in 30 seconds but i think it’s a decent “Hi, this is Ron Barber” ad. Gabby thought he was pretty qualified to run things and after she was shot, her office kept running almost as normal. I was pretty impressed at that, having had some contact with them last year.
Lets get a conservative in there and then we can do away with the district……
