KRON 4 has reported that Robin Williams passed away on Monday. The legendary actor, voice actor and comedian was found dead inside his residence in Tiburon, CA. Investigators suspect that Williams committed suicide, but the investigation is ongoing.
From KRON:
An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by the Investigations and Coroner Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, officials said.
A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.
On July 1, Williams visited the 12-step program at a Minnesota facility to recharge after more than 18 straight months of work, according to his publicist.
Mara Buxbaum said Williams was “taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud.”
Williams has been open about the challenges of maintaining sobriety. He sought treatment in 2006 when he relapsed and returned to drinking after 20 years.
Williams was one of my favorite comedians growing up. I remember asking for his HBO special Live on Broadway special for Christmas. That was the first comedy DVD I owned. Unfortunately, I never got to see him live. But I’m thankful for countless hours of entertainment he gave me.

ROBIN WILLIAMS WAS ONE OF THE MOST GRACIOUS AND LOVING COMEDIANS IN MY GENERATION. HE WAS 2 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME. MY HEART AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO ALL WHO LOVED HIM. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BUT NEVER EVER FORGOTTEN.
Robin Williams was a person who had bipolar disorder. He was a success in his field because of the way he handled his mood disorder. People should never be discriminated against because they suffer from a mood disorder. Adequate and accessible mental health treatment is everybody’s concern and should be a main priority in the current national health policy!
What a loss. New reports from family is that Robin had spent and/or given away all his money and was forced to take jobs he did not want. The cancelled TV show was apparently the straw that broke the camels back. Going to miss his talent.

Yes Bob…the accounts I’ve read could lead you to believe that the divorce lawyers and the ex wives, drove him to make an irrational decision.
But even he said it best, ” Cocaine is God’s way of telling you that you’re making too much money.”
But it can happen at all socioeconomic levels. It’s just that it’s even easier in Hollywood.
